Ranney junior Bryan Antoine had already had already played a memorable tournament at the City of Palms Classic in Fort Myers, Florida before the final play of Saturday's Consolation Bracket Championship against Mountain Brook of Alabama.

On the final play of the game Saturday, Antoine made sure nobody watching the national showcase tournament will forget his name.

Antoine hit a halfcourt shot to beat the final buzzer and the Panthers (5-1) beat nationally-ranked Mountain Brook in dramatic fashion, 64-62, to win the City of Palms Consolation Bracket Championship.

Antoine finished with 36 points, four rebounds and eight steals, giving him an average of 29.5 points per game during Ranney's four-game run to the consolation-bracket championship.

Junior Alex Klatsky scored 21 points and went 6-for-8 from three-point range with 18 points in the first half alone for Ranney. Junior Scottie Lewis chipped in seven points, six rebounds and seven assists in the win.

Ranney took a 48-32 lead into the third quarter, only to watch it slip away. Trendon Watford - a top-50 player in the Class of 2019 along with Antoine and Lewis - stole a pass by Antoine out of a backcourt trap and layed it in to put Mountain Brook - the No. 25 team in the latest MaxPreps Xcellent 25 - ahead, 62-61 with 1.6 seconds left.

After a timeout, Ranney junior Ahmadu Sarnor ran the baseline and fired a pass up to Antoine, who took one dribble and launched a shot from the midcourt line between two defenders. The shot found its mark and Antoine's teammates mobbed him in the middle of the floor.

Watford finished with 24 points, 20 rebounds and four steals to lead Mountain Brook.
