Senior Andre Wells scored a game-high 22 points to go with seven rebounds and seven assists as the Huskies (2-2) salvaged a split with the Rockets (2-2).

Sophomore Colin Haluska added 10 points and seven rebounds for Matawan while sophomores Matt Agar and Jack O'Leary each poured in 10 points to lead Raritan.

Brick Memorial 61, Lakewood 29 - Watch Live

Sophomore Josh Michigan scored 12 points to lead a balanced scoring effort that saw 10 players score as the Mustangs (4-0) coasted to a win over the Piners (0-4) for their fourth straight to open the season.

Mike Dayton added nine points and Ben Woolley and Richie Kijak each pitched in eight for Brick Memorial.

Freshman Zahmir Anderson led Lakewood with 14 points.

No. 7 Holmdel 63, Middletown North 48 - Watch Live

Senior Alex Baker scored a game-high 23 points and classmate Ryan Bradley pumped in 21 as the Hornets (4-0) raced past the Lions (1-3) to complete the week-long sweep and remain perfect.

Senior Kyle Polivka added nine points for Holmdel, while junior Matt Kenny led Middletown North with 18 points.

Southern 70, Asbury Park 50 - Watch Live

Senior Luke Infurna scored 10 of his 16 points in the first quarter and junior Jaden Anthony scored nine of his 16 in the third as the Rams (2-1) pulled away to hand the Blue Bishops (4-1) their first loss.

Senior Jake Barbierri also cracked double-figures with 10 points for Southern, while junior teammate Nick Devane added nine.

Senior Najier Massie led Asbury Park with 15 points while senior Mikai Brown-Jones and sophomore Sha'Born Goodman each pitched in 10 points and four assists in the loss.

Jackson Liberty 38, Jackson Memorial 34 - Watch Live

Senior Jayden Ramirez led a balanced scoring effort with 12 points and the Lions (1-3) upended the Jaguars (0-4) to deliver first-year coach Don Connor his first win. Connor is a graduate of Jackson Memorial and the road on which the school is located - Don Connor Boulevard - is named after his father.

Juniors Dahkareo Pritchett and Phanique Dupree each added 10 points for Jackson Liberty. Sophomore Keith Adame scored a game-high 16 points to lead Jackson Memorial.

Pinelands 37, Ocean 29 - Watch Live

Senior Josh Kline scored a game-high 14 points and the Wildcats (1-3) clamped down on the Spartans (0-3) for their first win of the season after two near-misses in their first three games.

Junior Rian O'Rourke added 11 points for Pinelands, which lost on a last-second three-pointer in overtime vs. Barnegat on opening night and by two points to Manchester on Wednesday night. Barnegat (Middletown South) and Manchester (Toms River North) each beat 25-win teams from 2019-20 by 20-plus points on Friday night.

Senior Matt Shaw led Ocean with eight points.

Central 52, Donovan Catholic 34 - Watch Live

Junior Justin Soranno went off for 21 points, 12 rebounds and five blocks to help carry the Golden Eagles (3-1) to a win over the Griffins (2-2).

Senior I-Meer Johnson added eight points and 18 rebounds and sophomore John Truhan chipped in nine points for Central.

Junior Alex Melon led Donovan Catholic with 11 points.

Toms River South 61, Brick 59 (OT) - Watch Live

Junior Gavin Migliori scored a game-high 27 points, including 14 in the fourth quarter and overtime, to help the Indians (2-2) fight off a comeback attempt by the Green Dragons (0-2).

Migliori hit a three-pointer that extended Toms River South's lead to 50-44 with 2:15 left but Brick junior Jack Dougard answered with eight straight points to catapult the Green Dragons into the lead - two corner three-pointers to tie it and a fast-break layup to give Brick a 52-50 lead.

Migliori again came through for Toms River South by earning a trip to the free-throw line with four seconds left and sinking both to tie the game at 52 and send it to overtime.

In overtime, Migliori hit a three-pointer and scored on a lay-in to push Brick's lead to 60-54. Senior Neil Kwincinski added 14 points, including four in overtime to help bring home the win.

Dougard and sophomore Alex Jenkoski each scored 18 points to lead Brick, which trailed, 34-15, at halftime before rallying back to take the lead in the final minute.

Manchester 55, Toms River North 35 - Watch Live

Junior D'Maari Brown scored a game-high 16 points to go with five steals and the Hawks (4-0) hammered the Mariners (2-2) to make an early case as Ocean County's top team.

Junior Savon Myers chipped in 13 points and 11 rebounds and senior Josh Glenn poured in nine points for Manchester, which overcame scoring only three points in the second quarter by holding Toms River North to just two during the same period.

Senior Ethan Paul led Toms River North with nine points.

Barnegat 66, Middletown South 40 - Watch Live

Senior Jaxon Baker scored a game-high 24 points behind four three-pointers and the Bengals (3-0) routed the Eagles (0-1) on Middletown South's opening night in 2021.

Senior Tyler Quinn added 17 points for Barnegat, which scored the first 13 points of the third quarter to blow open what was a two-point game at halftime in favor of the Bengals. Quinn scored 11 of his points during Barnegat's big third quarter, during which the Bengals outscored Middletown South, 20-6.

Senior Joe Stanzione led Middletown South with 10 points.
