Class A North

No. 2 CBA 80, Howell 41

Sophomore Pat Andree scored 18 points and the Colts (6-3, 5-0) rolled to a win over the Rebels (3-7, 1-5) to remain unbeaten in Class A North. Junior Jack Laffey added 14 points and senior Chima Ekekeugbor chipped in 12 in the win. Junior Aaron Trimble led Howell with 18 points.

Freehold Twp. 62, Manalapan 53

Junior Jason Czajkowski scored a team-high 15 points and the Patriots (7-4, 4-1) beat the Braves (4-5, 2-3) behind another balanced scoring effort. Junior Kyle Czajkowski added 11 points, nine rebounds and for steals, while senior Chris Talbott had 10 points, five rebounds and five assists.

Junior Zach Misischia led Manalapan with 17 points and sophomore Scott Scherer added 12 in the loss.

Marlboro 43, Middletown South 42

Senior Justin Markowitz hit a baseline runner with three seconds left and the Mustangs (5-5, 2-3) prevailed over the Eagles (2-8, 0-5) for their fourth straight win. Junior Matt Ringel led Marlboro with 18 points, 14 rebounds and six blocks.

Middletown North 45, Colts Neck 32

Senior Brian Esser scored a game-high 15 point and the Lions (5-3, 2-2) handed the Cougars (5-3, 4-1) their fist loss in Class A North. Senior Ian Wyckoff added 13 points, while senior Tristan Hook pitched in eight points and 10 rebounds. Junior Chris O'Reilly led Colts Neck with 13 points.

 

Class A Central

St. John Vianney 76, Raritan 55

Seniors Vinny Facchino and Ray Gabeau scored 14 points each and the Lancers (2-8, 2-3) beat the Rockets (3-9, 1-5) to end an eight-game losing streak. Senior Julanee Prince added 12 points, five rebounds, seven assists and three steals, while junior John-Michael Broderick also chipped in 12 points.

No. 6 Manasquan 68, No. 9 Shore 50

Senior Jack Fay scored 16 of his game-high 26 points in the second half and the Warriors (8-1, 6-0) pulled away to beat the Blue Devils (6-5, 3-3) and remain unbeaten in Class A Central.

Sophomore Ryan Jensen added 15 points and 19 rebounds while sophomore Jack Sheehan also had 15 points and four assists in the win.

Junior Dan Largey led Shore with 14 points and senior Dan Pillari scored eight of his 11 points in the first quarter.

Red Bank Catholic 61, Monmouth 33

Sophomore Eddie Hahn scored 19 points and the Caseys (7-3, 5-1) coasted past the Falcons (1-10, 0-6) for their fifth straight win.

 

Class B North

No. 3 Matawan 48, Freehold 46

Senior Austen Planes scored the go-ahead basket in the final minute and the Huskies (10-1, 4-0) rallied from a 10-point fourth-quarter deficit to beat the Colonials (1-9, 0-5) and win their ninth straight. Senior Chris Tawiah led Matawan with 16 points and junior Jason Dunne added 14.

Senior Glen Bates led Freehold with 13 points and eight rebounds and freshman Elijah Barnes added eight points, 14 rebounds and three blocks.

No. 8 Neptune 67, Ocean 61

Red Bank 61, Wall 36

Junior Eddie Hendrex scored 13 points and senior Jimmy Ferrogine added 12 as the Bucs (7-3, 3-2) put four players in double-figure scoring in a win over the Crimson Knights (5-5, 1-3).

Sophomore Sadiq Palmer and senior Johnny Dengler each added 10 points for Red Bank.

 

Class B South

Jackson Liberty 58, Point Boro 56

Senior Mike Healy scored 17 points and the Lions (5-5, 3-3) beat the Panthers (6-4, 4-2) for the first time in program history, ending Point Boro's five-game winning streak. Senior J'Son Clark added 16 points and senior James Sofield chipped in 13 points and five blocks.

 

Non-Division

Manchester 83, Brick 30

Senior KaShaun Barnes scored 16 of his 23 points in the first quarter and the Hawks (7-4) handled the Green Dragons (0-10). Senior Darius Barlow poured in 15 points and sophomore Shavar Reynolds added 13 in the win.
