Traveling Down Memory Lane With ‘Shore Legends’

Steve Zengel has spent most of his adult life involved with the game of basketball as a player, coach, administrator and passionate fan. A devoted supporter of his alma mater, Villanova University, Zengel was a teacher and school administrator before giving that up to devote his time and energy to his company. His original Beach House Cigars store was destroyed by Superstorm Sandy, but he has re-opened the business through his website while at the same time using it to support causes, especially those that benefit families of fallen police officers.

Zengel is also fulfilling one of his dreams by hosting “Shore Legends” in which he takes a weekly trip down memory lane to talk with former basketball icons and others from the Jersey Shore. He does the show via Facebook Live on Thursdays at 7pm from his special “studio” at Bar Anticipation in Belmar.

His guest this week was Basil Iwanyk, a Christian Brothers Academy and Villanova alum who is a film producer and also the founder of Thunder Road Pictures based in Santa Monica, California.
