Class A North

Freehold Boro 4, Howell 3

Pat White went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored and recorded the final four outs to seal a Colonials win over the Rebels that clinched Freehold the Class A North championship.

Chris Cassandra was 1-for-2 with a double and an RBI and Tom Holdorf went 1-for-3 with an RBI to aide the scoring effot. Phil Marcantonio finished 3-for-4 with a double and Dan Chiusano was 2-for-3 with a run scored.

Dane Della Valle pitched 5 2/3 innings for the win. He allowed three runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out eight and throwing 111 pitches.

Ean Craig singled in two runs during a three-run sixth inning for Howell, while Nick Lorenzo was 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored. Ryan Bearse was 2-for-4 with a run scored and Grant Hackett went 2-for-4 as well.

Mike Wynne threw 107 pitches over 5 2/3 innings while taking the loss.

Will Grant went 4-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and two RBI to lead a 15-hit attack that carried the Bucs to a rout of the Lancers.

Jack Stamer and Jack Mangold each went 2-for-2 with two RBI, Matt Santos was 2-for-3 with an RBI and Jonah Rosen was 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored.

Mason O'Mara allowed two runs on three hits and four walks while striking out eight and throwing 88 pitches to earn the five-inning, complete-game win.

Sebi Bellone was 1-for-3 with an RBI for St. John Vianney.

Shane Black went 2-for-3 with two RBI and a run scored and Vance Pelino was 2-for-4 with an RBI to help the Golden Eagles top the Rams.

Jared Morris was 2-for-3 with a double and Tom Ruscitti went 1-for-3 with a run scored for Central.

Tyler Aires allowed two unearned runs in four innings and 87 pitches to pick up the win. He allowed three hits and five walks while striking out four before giving way Ryan Greene, who allowed two runs in three innings to earn the save.

Marcos Matias hit a solo home run for Southern, Pat Barrett was 3-for-4 with a run scored, and Zach Oddo finished 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI in the loss.

Andrew Luongo pitched five innings and threw 78 pitches while taking the loss.

St. Rose 24, Henry Hudson 1 (5 Innings)

Riley Maypother hit for the cycle and Brody Maypother came up a single shy as the Purple Roses overwhelmed the Admirals. Riley Maypother was 4-for-4 with four runs scored and three RBI while Brody Maypother went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and three RBI.

Brendan Hueth went 3-for-4 with a double, two triples, four runs scored and four RBI for St. Rose, which collected 11 extra-base hits and 19 hits total. Joe Volpe was also 2-for-3 with a double, three runs scored and three RBI in the win, while Will Gannon went 2-for-5 with a double, three runs scored and two RBI.

Brendan Carlstrom and Tom Colantino each went 1-for-2 for Henry Hudson, with Carlstrom scoring on an RBI single by Colantino.

Point Beach 4, Mater Dei Prep 3

John Nista hit a tiebreaking RBI double in the bottom of the sixth inning and the Garnet Gulls survived a late rally by the Seraphs to clinch the Class B Central public division championship.

Nista went 2-for-3 with three RBI and Kevin Donnelly was 2-for-3 with two doubles and an RBI.

Nista also pitched the first five innings without giving up a run before running into trouble in the sixth. Mike Dunne hit a two-run single and Joe Profaci delivered a game-tying sacrifice fly as part of a three-run inning that pulled Mater Dei even at three.

Chris Russo pitched the final two innings and did not give up a hit to earn the win.

Kyle Dowlen was 2-for-3 with a double and Kevin Olausen went 2-for-2 in the loss. Vinny Stanziale allowed one earned run on seven hits in six innings with three strikeouts and no walks in taking the loss. Stanziale threw 72 pitches.

Ranney 6, Keansburg 3

Ryan Batista keyed a three-run third inning with a two-run double and the Panthers tacked on three runs in the final two innings to beat the Titans. Jacob Field also drove in two runs with a double and Grant Barthelmes singled home a run in the third as well.

Kiran Shah scattered eight hits over seven innings while allowing two earned runs to pick up the complete-game win. He struck out four, walked none and threw 91 pitches.

Losing pitcher David Clayton doubled home a run for Keansburg in the first inning and Liam Riecks singled one in during the second inning. Both Riecks and Joe Osterbye finished 2-for-3, with Osterbye also scoring a run. Liam Meyer also doubled and scored a run for Keansburg.

Guzzi struck out six and walked one while throwing 75 pitches. Sam Collins and Tom Paul each went 1-for-2 with an RBI.

Hector Rodriguez went 1-for-2 and drove in the lone Lakewood run.
