Senior Luca Dalatri outdueled sophomore Tyler Ras thanks to an RBI single by Nick Hohenstein in the top of the fourth inning that plated senior catcher Brandon Martorano, who advanced to second on an error by Ras on a ground ball back to the mound by Dalatri.

Dalatri struck out the side in four separate innings, including the seventh to close out the game. Ras struck out two batters in five different frames.

Gene Napolitano delivered an RBI single in the top of the seventh as the Mustangs broke a 1-1 tie with two runs in the final frame to pull out a win over the Eagles - Marlboro's third straight win to open the season and second in as many days against a Shore Sports Network Top 10 team.

Napolitano now has seven RBI in three games after plating five on opening day against Woodbridge and another on Tuesday in a win over Freehold Boro.

Jeremy Dyzenhaus fired a complete game on three-days rest after throwing five innings on opening day against Woodbridge.

Nick Principe plated the game-winning run with a walk-off sacrifice fly in the bottom of the eighth inning to make a winner out of the Rockets and starter Matt Birdsall, who outdueled Notre Dame recruit Tom Sheehan with a career performance on the mound.

Jackson Memorial junior Tim Halasnik hit a game-tying solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to send the game to the 10th, but the game was suspended due to darkness.

Chris Hawryuk also hit a three-run home run for the Jaguars, while junior Austin Feign belted a three-run homer in Toms River North's five-run first inning. Junior Mike Nyisztor also doubled and drove in the go-ahead run for Toms River North in the top of the ninth that made the score 9-8.
