Senior and winning pitcher Kenny Campell ripped a go-ahead, two-out, three-run triple in the bottom of the sixth inning as the Colts rallied to beat the previously unbeaten Rebels for their seventh straight win and sole possession of first place in Class A North in the early part of the season.

Starting pitcher Evan Menendez singled home a run earlier in CBA's four-run sixth and Nick Hohenstein, who relieved Menedez on the mound, also chipped in an RBI single in the third.

No. 4 Middletown South 5, Freehold Boro 3

Senior right-hander Austin Markmann struck out eight while scattering eight hits and a walk over seven innings to earn a complete-game victory and pitch the Eagles to a win over the Colonials.

Jeremy Joyce, Austin Markmann, Johnny Zega and Jon Martin each went 3-for-3, with Markmann, Joyce and Zega each adding a double and a run scored. Zega and Martin each added an RBI.

Middletown North 10, Manalapan 8

Tyler Ras went 3-for-4 with three runs scored and an RBI double in his team's four-run sixth inning that propelled the Lions to a win over the Braves.

Kyle Capo belted a home run in a 2-for-3 day at the plate that also included a double, while Walter Schopf was 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Mike Mercier was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI and Cole Fluta also added another of Middletown North's five doubles and six extra-base hits.

Stephen Hansen was 3-for-4 with two doubles, three runs and three RBI for Manalapan. Jake Sadowitz and Matt Rosenberg each went 2-for-3, with Sadowitz scoring twice and Rosenberg driving in two for the Braves.

No. 3 Marlboro 3, Freehold Twp. 0

Junior right-hander Jeremy Bello threw a four-hit shutout and the Mustangs blanked the Patriots. Bello walked two and struck out three in his first career complete-game effort.

Mark Ventre delivered a pinch-hit, two-run single in the bottom of the sixth to give Bello two insurance runs, while junior Gene Napolitano opened the scoring in the bottom of the first with an RBI single - his 10th RBI of the young season.

Senior Matt DiSciullo was 2-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base and junior shortstop Will Trochiano finished 1-for-2 with two walks and a run scored.

John Carroll went 2-for-2 for Freehold Township. Junior Ralph Gambino allowed two earned runs on eight hits and five walks while striking out nine in six innings.

Junior second baseman Aaron Ahn hit a walk-off solo home run on the first pitch of his at-bat with one out in the bottom of the seventh inning and the Caseys beat the Crimson Knights in dramatic fashion. The homer was the second for Ahn in as many days after he went deep Wednesday in a 13-0 win over Ocean.

Junior Kevin Donnelly went 3-for-3 with three doubles and five RBI as the Garnet Gulls slammed the Admirals. Senior Joe Delgrippo was 1-for-1 with a double, three runs scored and two RBI, Tanner Smith also scored and knocked in a pair of runs in a 1-for-2 day at the plate, and sophomore Vinny Storino finished 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI.

Sophomore John Nista struck out 11 in five innings to earn the win.

Brendann Carlstrom went 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored and teammate Steve Stockton was 1-for-3 with two RBI to lead Henry Hudson.
