The Panthers came through with five consecutive singles with runners in scoring position during a seven-run fourth inning and that was enough to beat the Mustangs and earn a round-of-16 trip to play top-seeded CBA.
Winning pitcher Sam Collins singled home two runs, followed by a single by Christian Aurin to re-load the bases. Starting pitcher Nick Guzzi and Paul Franceschini then hit back-to-back RBI singles and Sam Young capped the inning with a two-run single to left-center.
Andrew Laspina opened the scoring with an RBI single to score Young, who started the rally with a leadoff bunt single.

Nick Ruszczyk and Brandon Matt each belted first-inning home runs and the Rebels jumped all over the Lancers en route to an opening-round SCT win. Ruszczyk launched a three-run shot for his fifth home run of the season, followed by a two-run blast by Matt.
Howell will take on No. 2 Wall in the round of 16, a rematch of a non-divisional regular-season game from Monday in which Howell handed Wall ace Trey Dombroski his first loss of the season. Ruszczyk homered off of Dombroski in that game as well.
