The early signing period for college seniors to sign their National Letter's of Intent to play college sports began last week and continued this week for a number of schools, including a handful of Shore Conference baseball teams.

Brick Memorial and Manalapan each hosted signings for a quartet of its seniors. For the Mustangs, senior shortstop Matt Cuppari and first baseman Brian Markoski each signed on to play at St. Joseph's University. Outfielder James Donlon signed his letter of intent to continue his career at Fairleigh Dickinson University and left-hander Dylan Evans officially committed to LaSalle University.

Manalapan's four signees Wednesday included first-team All-Shore first baseman Jake Sadowitz, who signed his NLI to play at the University of Pennsylvania. Centerfielder Stephen Hansen and shortstop Chris Rodriguez also signed letters, Hansen to play at Iona College and Rodriguez and at the University of South Carolina-Upstate. Right-handed pitcher Tyler Stafflinger rounded out the four signees by committing to New Jersey Institute of Technology.

All-Shore first-team infielder Kyle Johnson of Jackson Memorial signed his NLI to play at Rider University. Monmouth Regional outfielder Christian Hoplock also signed last week to play at Felecian College, as did Mater Dei Prep catcher Joe Ruth.
