Atlantic Physical Therapy Center 2017 Week 4 Football Picks

The Shore Sports Network football staff of Kevin Williams, Matt Harmon, Ed Sarluca, and Bob Badders are back with their 2017 weekly picks in Shore Conference football action.

We will also have a guest picker each week. This week's guest picker is former Manasquan player and Shore Conference assistant P.J. Gibbs, who is currently the defensive coordinator at Gulf Coast High School in Naples, Fla.

Gibbs played under legendary Manasquan head coach Vic Kubu from 1993 through 1996 as the Warriors went a combined 18-3 in his junior and season seasons with a pair of division titles. Gibbs then played collegiately at St. Peter's University before starting his coaching career.

Gibbs was the linebackers coach at Manasquan in 2001 when the Warriors went 11-1 and captured the Central Jersey Group II state championship. He was the defensive coordinator at Matawan from 2006 through 2008 before returning to Manasquan from 2009 through 2013, helping the Warriors go a combined 40-15 with two division titles. He was the defensive coordinator at Howell for one season in 2014.

In 2015 Gibbs and his family moved to south Florida and he took a position as the defensive coordinator at Gulf Coast. The Sharks have gone 7-4 each of the last two seasons and are off to a 2-0 start in 2017.
