---Defensive end Vinny Curry (Neptune) had 3 tackles, including one for a loss, in the Eagles' 28-23 loss to the Giants.

---Linebacker Shilique Calhoun (Middletown North) did not have a tackle, but the Raiders improved to 7-2 with a 30-20 win over the Denver Broncos, where tight end Garrett Graham (Brick Memorial) is currently on injured reserve.

---Tight end Neal Sterling (Manasquan/Monmouth Univ.) was a healthy scratch for the Jaguars in their 19-14 loss to the Chiefs.

---Tight end Tim Wright (Wall/Rutgers) and wide receiver Ryan Spadola (Freehold Twp.) remain on injured reserve for the Lions, who picked up a 22-16 win over the Vikings.

FBS

---Penn State is now up to No. 12 in the country after picking up its fifth straight win, rolling over Iowa 41-14 in the Big Ten. Tight end Mike Gesicki (Southern) had 4 catches for 65 yards, wide receiver Saeed Blacknall (Manalapan) had a 19-yard touchdown catch, linebacker Manny Bowen (Barnegat) had 3 tackles, defensive end Garrett Sickels (Red Bank) had 3 tackles, including half a tackle for a loss, and Chris Gulla (Toms River North) saw time as the placeholder on kicks in the win.

---Defensive back Otis Kearney (Toms River South) had 5 tackles, including one for a loss, and a pass break-up for Central Michigan in a 37-17 loss to Miami (Ohio).

---Miami and long-snapper Frank Gabriel (Red Bank Catholic) routed Pittsburgh 51-28 to get back over .500 at 5-4.

---Defensive lineman Pat Toal (Raritan) had a tackle for a loss as Old Dominion improved to 6-3 with a 38-14 win over Marshall.

---Starting offensive lineman Quenton Nelson (Red Bank Catholic) and Notre Dame lost 28-27 to Navy to fall to 3-6.

---Temple is now 7-3 after a 21-0 win over UConn, as wide receiver Keith Kirkwood (Neptune) finished with one catch for 8 yards, and linebacker Chapelle Russell (Lakewood) had one tackle.

---UMass fell to 2-8 with a 52-31 loss to Troy, as wide receiver Sadiq Palmer (Red Bank) had one catch for 7 yards, and placekicker Mike Caggiano (Manalapan) went 4-for-4 on extra points.

FCS

---Running back Matt Gudzak (Toms River East) had 7 carries for 23 yards and 3 catches for 12 yards, Ryan Morris (Barnegat) saw time at tight end, and defensive lineman Datrell Reed (Lakewood) also saw time as Villanova moved to 7-2 with a 26-7 win over Maine. Defensive back Darrius Hart (Toms River South) had 5 tackles in the loss for the Bears.

---Running back Charlie Volker (Rumson-FH) had 10 carries for 64 yards and 2 catches for 8 yards as Princeton improved to 6-2 with a 28-0 win over the University of Pennsylvania. Defensive back Connor Grogan (Manasquan) and linebacker Thomas Martello (Rumson-FH) each added a tackle and Reily Radosevich (Manalapan) saw time on the offensive line in the win. Defensive lineman Tayler Hendrickson (Middletown South) had a tackle in the loss for UPenn.

---It was a big week for Central Connecticut State receiver Joey Fields (Donovan Catholic), who was named the Northeast Conference Offensive Player of the Week after setting career highs for catches (8) and yards (122) along with a touchdown in a 37-35 win over Sacred Heart. He also had kickoff returns of 37, 36 and 30 yards in the win. Defensive back Shawn Ramcheran (Matawan) had 3 tackles and a pass break-up, and Imamu Mayfield (Manalapan) also saw time in the loss.

---Quarterback Alex Thomson (Keyport) was 17-for-31 for 218 yards and an interception as Wagner suffered a 28-20 loss to Duquesne. Safety Jesse Flaherty (Red Bank Catholic) had 6 tackles, including one for a loss, for Wagner.

---Tim O'Hara (Red Bank Catholic) can now say he's the starting left tackle for the Patriot League champs, as Lehigh clinched a berth in the FCS playoffs with a 20-13 win over Bucknell. Evan Sweeney (Wall) also saw time up front in the win. Running back Chad Freshnock (Middletown North) had 11 carries for 72 yards and a touchdown, tight end Marcus Ademilola (Jackson Memorial) had an 18-yard catch, defensive end Doug Whitlock (Red Bank Catholic) had a sack for a 9-yard loss, and long-snapper Dillon Paprota (Donovan Catholic) also saw time in the loss for Bucknell.

---Defensive lineman Kyle Mullen (Manalapan) had 7 tackles, a sack, 1.5 tackles for a loss and a pass break-up in Yale's 27-22 loss to Brown.

---H-back/tight end Anthony Firkser (Manalapan) had 4 catches for 79 yards and a touchdown to help Harvard pick up a 28-21 win over Columbia to improve to 7-1.

---Wide receiver Robbie Cantelli (Holmdel) continues to shine as he had 5 catches for 58 yards and 2 touchdowns to help Fordham move to 6-3 with a 24-20 win over Colgate. He is now second in the Patriot League with 11 touchdown catches this season. Isaiah Searight (Monmouth) started at tight end for the Rams, and Brett Lambert (Holmdel) saw time at linebacker.

---Defensive lineman Nick Tomkins (Matawan) had 3 tackles, a sack, and two pass break-ups for Dartmouth in a 17-13 win over Cornell.

---Wideout Vinny Grasso (Donovan Catholic) had 2 catches for 2 yards as well as a 12-yard punt return and a 25-yard kickoff return, while safety Mike Basile (Brick Memorial) finished with a team-high 16 tackles, 1.5 tackles for a loss, a forced fumble and two fumble recoveries in Monmouth University's 38-17 loss to Coastal Carolina. Defensive lineman Dimitrius Smith (Jackson Memorial) added 3 tackles, one for a loss, and a forced fumble, Matt Castronuova (Jackson Memorial) and safety Christian Wagar (Red Bank Catholic) had a pair of tackles, defensive end Manny Maragoto (Freehold Twp.) had a tackle for a loss and two pass break-ups, Peter Righi (Rumson-FH) started at right guard, Ryan Wetzel (Colts Neck) saw time on the offensive line and Adam Kakar (Toms River North) saw time on the defensive line in the loss for Monmouth.

---Kicker Pat Toomey (Red Bank Catholic) averaged 51 yards on 6 kick-offs in Towson's 23-6 win over Elon.

---Quarterback Steve Cluley (Wall) was 15-for-26 for 129 yards and a touchdown, defensive lineman Chris Donald (Red Bank Catholic) had a tackle and defensive back Mike DeMonte (Red Bank Catholic) saw time as William & Mary picked up a 14-9 win over Stony Brook. Safety Tyrice Beverette (Lakewood) had 8 tackles and linebacker Jaheem Woods (Neptune) added 3 tackles in the loss for Stony Brook.

---Josh Taylor (St. John Vianney) saw time in the secondary in Marist's 45-38 win over Stetson.

DIVISION II/III

---Quarterback Ajee Patterson (Neptune) finished 15-for-26 for 160 yards and a touchdown as New Haven knocked off Bentley with a 17-7 win. Defensive lineman Brad Greenway (Jackson Memorial) had a pair of tackles in the loss for Bentley.

---Defensive lineman Xavier Young (Barnegat) saw time in Stonehill's 17-10 overtime win over Pace. Kicker Pat Davis (Lacey) had two touchbacks out of three kick-offs, Tommy Leech (Brick) saw time at defensive back, Anthony Tardogno (Manalapan) saw time on the offensive line, and Robert Planter (Manchester) saw time on the defensive line in the loss for Pace.

---Defensive lineman Richie Curran (Red Bank Catholic) had 2 tackles and Neil Horenburg (Red Bank Catholic) started at center in St. Anselm's 28-25 loss to Southern Connecticut State.

---Unbeaten Johns Hopkins won an impressive eighth straight Centennial Conference title with a 48-28 victory over Franklin & Marshall, as offensive lineman James Oncea (Rumson-FH) and wide receiver Kyle Morris (Barnegat) both saw time in the win.

---Quarterback Danny Higgins (Southern) helped lead Bridgewater State to the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference title by finishing 18-for-33 for 205 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in a 28-27 overtime win over Framingham State.

---Defensive lineman Nick Pydeski (Raritan) had 3 tackles and a forced fumble to help Springfield pick up a 24-7 win over Rensselaer. Running back Nick Cella (Red Bank Catholic) had 9 carries for 37 yards and a touchdown in the loss for RPI.

---Tight end Tory Robinson (Howell) had a 26-yard catch in Wesley's 44-27 win over Salisbury to improve to 7-2.

---Defensive back James Taylor (Red Bank Catholic) had 6 tackles and a pass break-up in Hamilton's 45-10 loss to Middlebury.

---Wide receiver Nick Pasquin (Raritan) had one catch for no gain in Susquehanna's 37-20 win over McDaniel. Linebacker Drew Scott (Brick) continued a strong season with 10 tackles, one for a loss, Matt Cathey (Brick Memorial) had 4 carries for 21 yards, and Dan Finelli (Brick) saw time on the defensive line in the loss for McDaniel.

---Linebacker Frank Olmo (Red Bank Catholic) was sensational with a game-high 19 tackles, including 1.5 for a loss and a sack, in Gettysburg's 37-34 loss to Dickinson in double overtime. Defensive back Jake Fioretti (Pt. Beach) had 2 tackles, linebacker John Morris (Manasquan) added a tackle and tight end Kevin Clayton (Rumson-FH) saw time in the loss.

---Muhlenberg improved to 8-1 with its fifth straight win, 49-7 over Ursinus, as defensive back Nate Corvil (Freehold Twp.) had 7 tackles, linebacker Jack Fitzsimmons (Pt. Boro) added 5 tackles, and Gerard Grimes (Pinelands) had a tackle in the win.

---Albright is now 7-2 after a 43-14 win over Misericordia, as running back Danny Tighe (Pt. Beach) had 14 carries for a game-high 88 yards and a touchdown. Defensive lineman Rich Kuhn (Brick Memorial) added a tackle and two pass break-ups in the win.

---Defensive back Andre Cochran (Pt. Beach) saw time as Delaware Valley improved to 7-2 with a 28-20 win over Lycoming.

---Safety Liam Casey (St. John Vianney) had 3 tackles and kicker Nick Maciejewski (Wall) went 2-for-2 on extra points in FDU-Florham's 34-20 loss to Lebanon Valley.

---Defensive back Jordan Billups (Jackson Liberty) had 3 tackles as Wilkes upset previously unbeaten Stevenson with a 38-35 win.

---Defensive back Pat Moran (Barnegat) had 9 tackles, Tyler Vivian (Shore Regional) had a 16-yard catch, Connor Thomson (Keyport) started at center and Tyler Alvarez (Keyport) started at right tackle for William Paterson in a 26-7 loss to Christopher Newport.

---The College of New Jersey pulled out a 28-25 win over Southern Virginia in quadruple overtime, with running back Khani Glover (Jackson Memorial) finishing with 6 carries for 16 yards as well as a 14-yard touchdown catch, and linebacker Connor Owen (Brick Memorial) leading the defensive effort with 11 tackles, including one for a loss. Defensive lineman Erik Graham (Shore Regional) added 5 tackles, one for a loss, linebacker Grant Castellanos (Manasquan) had 2 tackles, and Matt Gliddon (Pt. Boro) started at left guard in the win.

---Running back John DiStefano (Red Bank Catholic) had 14 carries for 15 yards as Montclair State was bottled up by first-place Frostburg State in a 24-6 loss. Matt Kemp (Colts Neck) started at right guard, Anthony Dorsi (Red Bank Catholic) started at fullback, wideout Jaedon Stephens (Asbury Park) had 3 catches for 7 yards and wide receiver Julanee Prince (St. John Vianney) added one catch for four yards in the loss. Defensive lineman Nick Volpe (Colts Neck) had 2 tackles, including 1.5 sacks, and defensive lineman Jake Weber (Matawan) also had 2 tackles for the Red Hawks. Hunter Daly (Neptune) averaged 35.4 yards on 11 punts, dropping two inside the opposing 20.

---Defensive back Austin Davis (Matawan) had a strong day with 4 tackles, 3 pass break-ups and a 26-yard interception return for a touchdown to help Kean pick up a 24-10 win over Rowan for their first win on Rowan's field since 1987. Linebacker Marquis Oliver (Lakewood) added 2 tackles, a fumble recovery and a pass break-up, Steve Ferlisi (Brick) averaged 34.9 yards on 7 punts, Chris Vurchio (Raritan) started at right tackle, Joe Bick (Manchester) started at left tackle, and defensive back Dave Jimerson (Howell), wide receiver Jordan Smith (Raritan), linebacker Liam Christensen (Central) and tight end Kyle Rooney (Holmdel) all saw time. Linebacker Chris Noesges (Manalapan) had 2 tackles and defensive back Logan Sheehan (Southern) saw time in the loss for Rowan.

---Running back Dahmiere Willis (Long Branch) had 8 carries for 24 yards and Hunter Baillie (Long Branch) saw time on the defensive line in American International's 31-3 loss to Assumption.

---Ithaca finished unbeaten at home thanks to a 7-0 win over Buffalo State that was powered by a defense led by linebacker Dan Loizos (Ocean), who had 9 tackles, and linebacker Ken Bradley (Jackson Memorial), who added 2 tackles and a pass break-up.

---Kutztown finished unbeaten in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference for the first time in school history thanks to a 32-6 win over Cheyney, with defensive lineman Chris Kimbiz (Brick) finishing with 5 tackles and a sack in the victory.

---Defensive end Joe Odebode (Toms River South) had half a sack in East Stroudsburg's 66-41 loss to Lock Haven.

---Linebacker David Gutzmore (Neptune) had 4 tackles, one for a loss, in Seton Hill's 33-21 loss to Slippery Rock.
