This week was all about defense among the Shore Conference graduates making an impact at the higher levels as teams jockey for bowl games, shoot for conference titles and gear up for the playoffs.

From Shilique Calhoun making an impact in the NFL to players like Ithaca's Ken Bradley, Gettysburg's Frank Olmo, Kean's Marquis Oliver and Albright's Rich Kuhn, the defense took center stage this past weekend.

It was a great weekend for offensive lineman Chris Vurchio (Raritan), tight end Kyle Rooney (Holmdel) and Kean University as they celebrated a lop-sided win.
