Joey Esposito led an early scoring flurry from Monmouth with a grand slam in the bottom of the second inning and the Falcons went home with a win over the Patriots when the game was called when thunderstorms rolled in during the sixth inning.

Howell 7, Hamilton West 1

Thomas Strauch went 3-for-4 with three RBI, including his ninth and 10th home runs of the season, to lead the Rebels (19-6) to a win over the Hornets (17-9).

Strauch drove in a run in each of Howell's three rallies, which came in the first, third and fifth innings. The senior shortstop cracked a solo home run in the first inning, singled home a run in the four-run third and belted another solo homer in the fifth.

Dan Furlong and Braden Walsh each doubled home a run in the third, with Furlong finishing 1-for-2 with two runs scored and Walsh finishing 2-for-3 at the plate. Russell Halvorsen also went 1-for-4 with a double and a run scored.

Furlong pitched three scoreless innings with four hits and no walks allowed against three strikeouts. Jason Pace picked up the win with two scoreless innings with no hits, a walk and three strikeouts. Ryan Bilello gave up a run in his inning of work and Nick Barracato struck out the side in order to close out the game.

CBA 9, St. Joseph Hammonton 3

Wyatt Hunt and Zaine Toneske each homered and Luke Roccesano pitched four scoreless innings to earn the win as the Colts (15-9) downed the Wildcats (14-8).

Matt DiFeo went 3-for-4 and both Liam Sweeney and Harrison Campi collected two hits apiece for CBA.
