To Our Shore Sports Network Viewers,

Like with you, our daily lives at the Shore Sports Network have been dramatically impacted by the deadly coronavirus. All of us look forward to days when we can write about what we love most: sports; the teams, players, coaches and fans who make high school sports so special and its unique ability to bring schools and communities together. There will be a time when we can get back to that and hopefully sooner than later, especially for seniors who are being deprived in many cases of putting on a uniform for the final time. Let’s hope they still get that opportunity.

We are clearly in unchartered waters. Nothing like this has happened in our lifetimes as COVID-19 has interrupted our way of life but more importantly has claimed innocent lives throughout the world. And that is what we have to remember the most. As disappointed as we are that there are no games to play or watch, we must keep in mind that the health of those we love and those we don’t even know is the priority. The most important statistic in the weeks and months ahead is not batting averages or goals scored but the lives we save.

One of the things I am most proud of is since the creation of the Shore Sports Network is that we have never charged a fee for our content. Whether it’s daily stories on shoresportsnetwork.com, features in our print journal or live streaming of games and shows it has always been FREE and that will not change.

However, like all other segments of the media, we have been hit hard by the loss of advertising revenue. With that said, if you know of someone who is still in business or a professional who would be willing to market their services then we would appreciate the ability to establish a partnership with them. Bob Badders, Matt Manley and yours truly will continue to do our best to highlight some of the players and teams who would have earned headlines this spring season while providing other content that will keep you connected. Anyone interested in advertising on our website can contact me directly.

More than anything else we hope you and your families stay together and healthy!

Yours truly,

Kevin Williams, Director
