7 Questions For Teacher, Coach & Humanitarian Dan Torsiello

DAN TORSIELLO a history teacher at Central Regional HS as well as the head girls basketball coach and assistant boys and girls volleyball coach.  However I’m not talking to him today about anything to do with sports but rather a project he has taken on that is much bigger than high school.

Last summer Dan visited the Democratic Republic of the Congo (also known as the DR Congo or just Congo), a country in Central Africa which formerly was known as Zaire which some will remember at the site of the famous Muhammad Ali-George Foreman fight in 1974.

Dan’s original plan to as he put it was to “accomplish the life-long goal of trekking into the mountains and visit with an endangered mountain gorilla.”  However his trip turned out to be much more.
