Sophomore Matt Bernstein scored a team-high 14 points and the Mustangs (2-4, 1-2) hit the Raiders (2-4, 0-3) with a 17-3 third-quarter run that sparked them to an A South road win. Junior Vinny Vecchione added 11 points for Toms River East, which junior Zyaire Dorn led Toms River East with a game-high 17 points.

St. Rose 62, Keansburg 35

No. 1 Mater Dei Prep 84, Asbury Park 33

Junior Yasin Pretlow scored 18 points to lead five Mater Dei players in double-figure scoring and the top-ranked Seraphs (7-0, 3-0) coasted past the Blue Bishops (1-5, 1-2) to extend their unbeaten start to the season. Pretlow also added four assists and five steals.

Junior Adam Afifi added 14 points, while senior Elijah Mitchell chipped in 11 points, eight rebounds, four assists and three steals for Mater Dei. Junior Brandon Wilson and senior Rajae Muhammed also pitched in 10 points each, with Muhammed also pulling in seven rebounds.

Juniors Ja'King Agostini and senior Xavier Hundley each scored 10 points to lead Asbury Park.

No. 2 Ranney 80, Keyport 42

Sophomore Scottie Lewis scored 21 points and added 11 rebounds and four assists to lead the Panthers (5-1, 3-0) to a win over the Red Raiders (1-5, 0-4). Sophomores Bryan Antoine and Ahmadu Sarnor also added 15 points each, Antoine also contributing four rebounds, nine assists and seven steals.

Senior Chris Hogrefe led Keyport with 12 points while senior Cody Young netted eight in the loss.

Manalapan 36, Toms River South 29

Senior John Lugo scored 15 points and junior Justin Lynch added 14 as the Braves (2-5) survived a low-scoring game against the Indians (2-4).

Middletown North 53, Matawan 47

Senior Matt Pinckney scored 16 points and the Lions (4-3) held off the Huskies (2-5). Senior Marc Cerbo and junior Sky Cherry added nine points each for Middletown North.

Junior Reggie Tawiah led Matawan with a game-high 21 points and junior Mike Dunne added 14 in the loss.

No. 10 Rumson-Fair Haven 75, Middletown South 57

Sophomore Ian O'Connor blew up for a career-high 35 points on 13-for-15 shooting from the floor and the Bulldogs (5-0) won their fifth straight to open the season by beating the Eagles (2-5). Junior Jack Solano added 15 points on five three-pointers for Rumson.

Junior Ryan Purcell led Middletown South with 25 points.

Jackson Memorial 50, Jackson Liberty 44

Senior Andrew Trent connected on five three-pointers and tallied a game-high 24 points to lead the Jaguars (4-2) to a win over the crosstown rival Lions (1-5). Senior Nick Barba added 10 points for Jackson Memorial.

Senior Nico Montano led Jackson Liberty with 22 points while sophomore Daniel Sofield added 14 in the loss.

No. 4 Toms River North 58, Colts Neck 44

Senior Mike Nyisztor scored a team-high 16 points and the Mariners (6-1) beat the Cougars (4-3) to rebound from their first loss of the season Friday against Freehold Township. Junior Holden Petrick added 15 points and six rebounds while senior Jaden Rhoden pitched in 14 points and seven rebounds.

Junior Danny Gaines led Colts Neck with a game-high 24 points while senior Brendan Clarke chipped in 10 in defeat.

Point Boro 59, Freehold Boro 47

Junior Connor Costigan scored 17 points and senior Jack Waddleton poured in 15 to spark the Panthers (4-3) to a win over the Colonials (1-6). Junior John Duda also added eight points, eight rebounds and three steals in the win.

Senior Markee Gill led Freehold with 20 points while junior teammate Ashante Worthy chipped in 15.

Manchester 68, Southern 62

Senior L.J. Robinson scored a game-high 24 points to go with eight rebounds, five assists, two steals and two blocks to lead the Hawks (3-4) to a win over the Rams (1-7). Junior Markese Davis added 21 points, four assists and three steals, while junior Jerry Ward had 12 points and five rebounds and four steals for Manchester.

Senior Mark Valeriani led three Southern players in double-figures with 20 points to go along with five steals. Junior Jake DuBois contributed 14 points, eight rebounds and six assists while junior Thomas Foster added 10 points in the loss.

Ocean 58, Pinelands 52

Junior Andrew Seager scored 19 points and grabbed seven boards to lead the Spartans (5-2) past the Wildcats (1-7) for their fourth straight win. Freshman Jack Miller added 16 points and senior Darius Brown poured in 14 in the win.

Sophomore Anthony Diaz scored 18 points to lead Pinelands, which trailed 50-29 heading into the fourth quarter before closing the game with a 23-8 run to make the game close.

Barnegat 53, Raritan 24

Junior Mike Revello scored 12 of his 17 points in a gamebreaking third quarter as the Bengals (4-2) routed the Rockets (2-5). Barnegat took a 10-0 lead into the second quarter and put the game away with a 25-13 run through the duration of the third.

Junior Carson Francisco chipped in 14 points for Barnegat.

Red Bank Catholic 59, Red Bank 43

Senior Terence Calandrillo scored a game-high 22 points and the Caseys (4-3) jumped on top early to beat the rival Bucs (4-3). Freshman Kevin Bauman added 13 points and senior Mike Conley poured in 10 for RBC.

Junior Devin Cooper scored 14 points to lead Red Bank while junior Liam Joyce chipped in 12 in the loss.

No. 5 Point Beach 61, Union 59

Junior Danny Frauenheim scored 16 points while handing out 11 assists and junior Jake Lorenzo posted 16 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks as the Garnet Gulls (5-1) picked up a road win over the Farmers (3-4). Senior Steve Flanders and junior Trevor Covey each added 12 points for Point Beach.

Sophomore Chris Panduri scored 20 points and classmate Kyle Koob added 20 to lead the Blue Devils (2-4) to a win over the Admirals (0-6). Senior Tom Fennell scored a game-high 22 points to lead Henry Hudson.

No. 1 Mater Dei 60, Union Catholic 46
