NJSIAA Tournament
North Jersey Section 2, Group IV
5-Middletown North 34, 4-Mendham 21
The Lions went on the road to defeat the Minutemen and reach the semifinals. They will travel to "The Pit" for a match with top-seeded and defending Group IV champion Phillipsburg on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
Central Jersey Group IV
The Lions won 10 of 14 bouts with pins by Jared DiZenzo (220), Joshua Morton (Hwt) and Nick McConnel (120) to reach the semifinals, where they will face rival Jackson Memorial on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
Central Jersey Group III
The Spartans won nine of 14 bouts and received pins from Jake Benner (120), T.J. Saldutti (152) and Brian Olesen (Hwt) to advance to the sectional semifinals. Ocean will take on top-seeded South Plainfield on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
3-Long Branch 56, 6-Somerville 3
The Green Wave dominated their quarterfinal match and will now wrestle at second-seeded Cranford in the sectional semifinals on Wednesday at 7 p..m.
Central Jersey Group II
4-Rahway 30, 5-Point Boro 25
Central Jersey Group I
The Blue Devils won just six bouts, but received six points in all with three forfeits and pins by Dom Liana (Hwt), Chris Dean (106) and Tim Klemser (120) to advance to the sectional semifinals. They will face top-seeded Cinnaminson on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
South Jersey, Non-Public A
3-St. John Vianney 61, 6-Red Bank Catholic 4
The Lancers rolled past the Caseys and into the semifinals, where they will travel to face second-seeded St. Augustine Prep on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
