CLASS A NORTH

No. 1 CBA 16, Colts Neck 1

Senior attackman Dylan Johnson tallied four goals and one assist and freshman attackman Dan Martin delivered three goals and two assists as the Colts (12-0, 7-0) clinched the Class A North division title while also denying the Cougars (5-7, 3-4) a berth in the Shore Conference Tournament.

Connor Macrae added two goals and one assist, Michael Carroll scored twice and Luke Valentino had one goal and two assists. Thomas Convery, Chris Romano and defenseman Nicholas Zanghi each had one goal and one assist while Kevin Junquet scored once. Goalies Chris Downey (1 save), Noah D'Andrea (5 saves) and Jamis Perrotta (1 save) combined with the defense to allow two or fewer goals for the fifth time this season

Chris DeFillippo scored and Brandon Cifone made eight saves for Colts Neck.

 

No. 6 Middletown South 8, No. 10 Howell 5

Junior Matt Tardy and senior Dan Rossi each had three goals and one assist and sophomore Shane Murphy made nine saves as the Eagles (13-2, 5-1) extended their winning streak to 10 games by defeating the Rebels.

Matt Ferrigno added a goal and two assists and Matt Fallon scored once.

 

No. 7 Freehold Township 12, Middletown North 4

Senior attackman Chris Novella had a huge game with five goals and four assists and senior attackman Matt Graybush tallied four goals and two assists to lead the Patriots (9-3, 5-2) to a win over the Lions (7-7, 2-4).

Sophomore attackman Brendan Doel added one goal and four assists and Kyle Von Nessen and Billy Sebor had one goal each. Aidan Purcell made eight saves in goal.

Pete Abbes scored twice to lead Middletown North. Quinn Aker had a goal and an assist, Alec Zenker scored once and Joey Dam made six saves.

 

Neptune 9, Marlboro 8

 

CLASS A SOUTH

No. 4 Southern 12, Brick 4

Senior midfielder Ryan McWhorter scored five goals and added one assist and sophomore Cade Johnson continued his strong play of late with four goals and one assist as the Rams (10-2, 5-0) clinched at least a share of the division title and denied the Dragons (6-7, 3-3) a spot in the Shore Conference Tournament.

Aniello Russo added two goals and one assist, Ajani Steverson scored once and Luke Maul was great in goal with 18 saves.

 

Jackson Memorial 17, Brick Memorial 4

Sophomore Sean Laverty scored three goals and dished out two assists and freshman Drew Walenty tallied three goals and one assist to lead the Jaguars (8-3) past the Mustangs (5-8).

Santo Porazzo added two goals and two assists, Joe Iacoabone had two goals and one assist and Matt Perillo and Tim Schindler each scored twice. Nick Perillo and defensemen Jake Bryson and Sean Duggan each had one goal and one assist. Yael Bonilla made 14 saves in goal to pick up the win.

 

Toms River East 17, Toms River South 8

Senior Matt Gannon had a memorable night with six goals and three assists to record his 100th career point and lead the Raiders (8-3, 4-1) to the inaugural Mayor's Cup championship.

The Toms River Mayor's Cup is awarded to any team that defeats all of their Toms River opponents, in this case being Toms River North, Toms River South and Donovan Catholic.

Evan Otten added four goals and two assists, Kohler Wagner had three goals and two assists and Salvatore Esposito tallied two goals and two assists. Ryan Buckler had one goal and one assist, Alex Smith scored once, Tyber Budrow made 12 saves and Anthony Marinelli picked up 11 ground balls.

 

CLASS B NORTH

No. 8 Shore 11, Ocean 5

Junior midfielder Jack McCrae sank two goals and added one assist to reach 100 career points and help the Blue Devils (12-2, 5-1) defeat the Spartans (8-4, 4-3).

Jake Turner led Shore with four goals and two assists while Ryan Morris had a hat trick and Gil Goldsmith contributed one goal and four assists. Justin Murphy scored once and Scott Sirianni made five saves. Matt O'Donnell was 17-for-21 on face-offs.

Mike Nies had a hat trick and Holden Lowe had one goal and one assist to lead Ocean. Alexander Roebuk and Mike Huelster had one goal each and Garrett Schwab made six saves.

 

No. 9 Holmdel 10, Red Bank 2

Jack Kapcsos fired in four goals and Nick Tuccillo made seven saves to lead the Hornets (11-4) to a victory over the Bucs (4-10)

Justin Cohen added two goals and one assist and Dan Tempone had one goal and two assists. Jake Preziose and Dan Bunting each had one goal and one assist and Alex Van Name scored once.

 

St. John Vianney 14, Long Branch 1

 

CLASS B SOUTH

No. 2 Manasquan 15, Jackson Liberty 4

Junior attackman Canyon Birch scored six goals and added three assists and senior midfielder James Mele tallied four goals and one assist as the Warriors (12-0, 7-0) defeated the Lions (4-10, 3-4) to clinch the division title.

Matt Franzoni added two goals and Evan Hilla, James McElduff and Shane Ownes each scored once. Mike LaPoint made seven saves.

Jake Bosco, Evan Catron and Tom Ferullo each scored once and Sean Reid made 10 saves for Jackson Liberty.

 

No. 3 Wall 15, Lacey 10.

Tim O'Hern sank five goals and dished out two assists and senior attackman Mike McIntyre had a hat trick to record his 200th career goal as the Crimson Knights (11-3, 6-1) beat the Lions (6-5. 4-3).

Will Forte also had a hat trick, Ethan Doyle scored twice and Connor Prindiville and Kyle Peters had one goal apiece. Sean DeMott made 11 saves.

Dylan Vitale and Chris Augustine each had three goals and one assist and Justin Covey made 17 saves to lead Lacey. JoeCarlo Chimenti and Dom Waltonowski both tallied one goal and two assists and Ryan Giles and Eric Green scored once each.

 

St. Rose 16, Donovan Catholic 4

Senior attackman Shane Reilly continued his great season with seven goals and two assists to move into second-place on St. Rose's all-time scoring list and lead the Purple Roses (6-8) past the Griffins (1-10).

Mike Kinsel added three goals and three assists, Nolan Boehmcke scored twice and Spencer Flynn and P.J. Dwyer each tallied one goal and two assists. P.J. Keegan scored once and Charlie Armstrong scored his first career goal. Logan LeMoult had two assists and Brendan Perry made six saves.

 

Barnegat 12, Point Boro 4

Cormac McCabe scored three goals and added two assists and 10 ground balls while Parker Roncin made 15 saves as the Panthers (5-10) topped the Bengals (0-9) on senior night.

T.J. Palazzo tallied three goals and one assist and Liam Connelly had two goals and two assists. Dylan Kovolesky scored twice, Colton Carls had one goal and one assist and Tanner Gordon scored once.

Dylan Corbett and John Porcelli each scored twice for Barnegat.

 

NONCONFERENCE

Red Bank Catholic 14, New Egypt 2

Sophomore attackman Jack Zenkert erupted for a career-high 11 points on nine goals and two assists to power the Caseys (5-9) to a lopsided win over the Warriors (5-9).

Ryan Schellin added three goals and two assists and Kyle Boggio and Brennan Frederick each had one goal and one assist. Pat Brady had three assist, Jack Pollackov had two assists and Colin Marshall made five saves.
