CLASS A NORTH

No. 9 Howell 16 Neptune 5

Senior attackman Drew Bukowiec scored six goals and added two assists to fuel the Rebels (9-2, 3-2) in their victory over the Scarlet Fliers (2-7, 1-4).

Ryan Choffey tallied three goals with two assists and Ryan Damelio also had a hat trick plus one assist for Howell. Coleman Chrzan scored twice, Nico Lorenzo had one goal and one assist and Vaughn Meehan scored once. Joey Sorrentino dished out three assists, Jake Goldberg had two assists and Nick Roberto made 10 saves. Jared Jablonski made his first career save and finished with two saves.

Nick Brown scored twice and Dylan Andrada, Kevin Clohosey and Tyler Rossi had one goal apiece for Neptune. Chase Fairbanks picked up nine ground balls.

 

Colts Neck 11, Middletown North 4

CLASS A SOUTH

No. 3 Southern 11, Toms River North 6

Senior midfielder Will Johnson scored five goals with one assist and senior goalie Tristan Farina made 17 saves as the Rams (8-2, 3-0) pushed past the Mariners (6-5, 3-2).

Sophomore attackman Nick Fontana tallied two goals and four assist while Kyle Mulrane and Anellio Russo each notched two goals and one assist and Ryan Comfort had three assists.

Andrew Lombardi led Toms River North with three goals and Noah Squires made 15 saves. Anthony Grella, Bob Singer and Travis Krysiewicz scored one goal each for Toms River North.

 

Jackson Memorial 4, Brick 3

Freshman midfielder Aaron Hutchinson scored twice and senior goalie Dylan Furnback turned aside 12 shots as the Jaguars (7-3, 2-2) edged the Dragons (5-6, 2-2).

Dakota Neron and Robert Stiuso each scored once while defenseman Sean Duggan had two assists and a game-high 10 ground balls. Jackson led in shots, 28-18.

 

Brick Memorial 7, Toms River East 6

A goal by senior attackman Gavin Murphy with 38 seconds left in regulation held up as the game-winning goal and allowed the Mustangs (6-4, 2-2) to escape with a win over the streaking Raiders (4-6, 1-2).

Mike Mowder, Zack Morton and Joey Ferrera each scored twice and Matt Wood made nine saves for Brick Memorial.

Toms River East entered the day on a four-game winning streak.

 

 

CLASS B NORTH

No. 2 Rumson-Fair Haven 16, No. 7 St. John Vianney 4

Senior midfielder Bryan Hess scored four goals with two assists to record his 100th career point as the Bulldogs (12-1, 6-0) extended their state-best winning streak to 12 games by dominating the Lancers (6-6, 5-1).

Senior attackman Colin Pavluk also scored four goals while senior attackman Charlie Curran tallied two goals and four assists and senior midfielder Andrew Walsh had a hat trick with one assist. Garrett Sweeley, Peter Lucas and Alex Bruckman each scored once and Connor Deverin and Liam Moriarty each made three saves.

C.J. Hanson made 13 saves and Chris Kelly, Andrew Porretta, Matt Franzoni and Anthony Brett had goals for St. John Vianney.

 

No. 8 Ocean 8, Red Bank 7

Senior midfielder Sam Hanna led the way with three goals and three assists while sophomore Holden Lowe and senior Cole Conti had two goals and one assist each as the Spartans (10-2, 5-2) edged the Bucs (1-10, 1-4).

Senior Jesse Gionatti scored once and senior goalie David Walk made 11 saves.

Kent Hottmann had a hat trick and Pat Karr notched two goals and two assists for Red Bank. Dan Bonanno added a goal and two assists and Matt Gibson made 26 saves as the Bucs nearly pulled off the upset.

 

Holmdel 18, Red Bank Catholic 4

Junior attackman Justin Arredondo scored five goals with two assists and junior attackman Jake Preziose tallied two goals and four assists as the Hornets (5-5, 2-3) cruised past the Caseys (3-8, 2-4).

Senior Billy DiMaio had a hat trick and also picked up eight ground balls and senior Jack Cook had two goals and two assists while also going 17-for-18 on face-offs with nine ground balls for Holmdel. Senior midfielder Kevin Burmeister finished with a goal and two assists, Daniel Bunting had one goal and one assist and Joe Hazel, Justin Cohen, John McCauley and Nick Lavalos each scored once.

Nick Tucillo made three saves and Tom Anderson made two saves for the Hornets.

CLASS B SOUTH

No. 1 Manasquan 19, Lacey 3

Senior attackman Jarrett Birch scored a whopping nine goals with three assists and sophomore attackman Canyon Birch scored four goals plus one assist as the Warriors (9-1, 3-0) overpowered the Lions (5-3, 4-1).

Connor Wilson scored twice, Matt Neri scored once and Justin Covey made 12 saves for Lacey.

 

No. 6 Wall 15, Point Boro 2

Junior attackman Mike McIntyre fired in five goals with three assists and the Crimson Knights (7-1, 4-1) used a big first half to defeat the Panthers (5-7, 2-3).

Tim O'Hern tallied three goals while Kyle Peters and Shane Meyler each scored twice for Wall, which built an 11-1 halftime lead. Will Forte, Connor Prindiville and James Plisky each scored once and Sean DeMott made five saves. Evan Gacos picked up a game-high 10 ground balls.

Nash McLean and Trevor McNamara scored for Point Boro while Parker Roncin made 18 saves.

 

St. Rose 11, Jackson Liberty 6

Senior attackman Griffin McDermott scored twice to record his 100th career point while senior attackman Chris Bormida continued his strong play with four goals to power the Purple Roses (7-3, 3-1) to a victory over the Lions (0-13, 0-5).

Senior goalie Robbie Brugnoli made 14 saves to backstop the victory. Junior attackman Shane Reilly scored twice and Billy Frost, Jack Cusack and Alex Phipps each scored once.

 

Donovan Catholic 19, Barnegat 6

Senior midfielder Peter Schlendorf had a record-setting game with nine goals and five assists to post the highest single-game point total in New Jersey this season and lead the Griffins (3-3, 2-3) past the Bengals (1-8, 1-4).

Schlendorf's 14 points is tied for the third highest single-game total in the nation this season, according to LaxRecords.com. He also eclipsed the 250-point plateau for his career.

Hunter MacPherson added a hat trick, Trevor Barber scored twice and Peter Rao made nine saves for Donovan Catholic.

Ryan Flaherty scored twice and Julian Schoenberger made 15 saves for Barnegat. Orion Boyer, Dylan Corbett, Jon Orocho and Tristan Porcelli each scored once.
