Each week, Shore Sports Network selects the top players in each Shore Conference boys soccer division and gives the Shore Conference fans a chance to vote for their pick as the overall Thrive Player of the Week.

Below are the Players of the Week from each of the six Shore Conference divisions, as well as two wild cards to push the list of nominees to eight players. Vote for the top performer in the poll at the bottom of the post and come back every hour to vote again. The poll closes Thursday at 10 p.m. and the winner will receive a shirt and a free training session, courtesy of Thrive.

Class A North Player of the Week

Ryan Cohen, Marlboro

Marlboro recovered from a slow start with two big wins last week over Freehold Township and Manalapan and of the four goals the Mustangs scored, Cohen scored three of them. He scored twice in the win over Freehold Township and notched the lone goal in the 1-0 win over Manalapan.

Class A North Honorable Mention: Josiah Stepney, Middletown North; Dylan Millevoi, CBA; Bryce Ocholla, Howell; Tye Maser, Howell; Tyler Borenstein, Howell; Quinn Mills, Howell; Kam Brown, Howell

Class A Central Player of the Week

Stefan Cojocariu, Raritan

The 0-5 start to the season that Raritan endured was misleading in that the Rockets were competitive for most of that stretch. Raritan finally broke through last week with a 3-1 win over Wall and in that victory, Cojocariu delivered two goals and assisted the other to carry his team to a win.

Class A Central Honorable Mention: Bo Pepe, Wall; Owen Saad, Rumson-Fair Haven; Cooper Attaway, Shore; Luke D’Angelo, Rumson-Fair Haven; Joe Kang, Holmdel; Stephan Kapranov, Holmdel; Frankie Brusco, Holmdel

Class A South Player of the Week

Justin Perrin, Brick Memorial

The theme of the slow start continues with Perrin and Brick Memorial, who carried a 0-4 record into the past week before fighting their way to two draws. Perrin was a standout in both results, which included a 1-1 tie vs. Jackson Liberty and a standout performance between the pipes in a scoreless draw against previously unbeaten Central.

Class A South Honorable Mention: Giovanni Batista, Jackson Liberty; Nick Prosperi, Southern; Brody Nacarlo, Southern; Ryan Schweigart, Southern; Dave Kroon, Central; Christian Caso, Toms River North; Sean Peck, Toms River East; Kenny Caruso, Toms River South

Class B North Player of the Week

Cruz Farkas, Manasquan

Manasquan performed well last week with wins over Ocean and Shore Regional and again in an overtime loss at No. 2 Holmdel. Cruz was integral in each game, scoring two goals in a 4-0 win over the Spartans and assisting one in the 2-0 victory over Shore. Farkas also scored one of Manasquan’s two equalizers in the 3-2 loss at Holmdel.

Class B North Honorable Mention: Sean Moore, Colts Neck; Nick Borges Da Silva, Long Branch; Eric Friedman, Matawan; Sal Cassano, Matawan; Johan Gomez, Long Branch; Cristian Gonzalez, Manasquan

Class B Central Player of the Week

Dylan Gonzalez, Henry Hudson

Henry Hudson broke out for six goals in two games last week and Gonzalez accounted for six of them. The senior pumped in four in a 6-0 win over Red Bank Catholic, then scored both of the Admirals’ goals in a 3-2, overtime loss to Asbury Park.

Class B Central Honorable Mention: Luke Noble, St. John Vianney; Saeed Torres, Ranney; Diego Nieves, St. Rose; Brody Powers, Point Beach; Dylan Ryan, Point Beach; Dain Salazar, Asbury Park; Brayan Rodriguez, Keyport; Kyle DiMarco, St. John Vianney; Mason Boles, St. John Vianney

Class B South Player of the Week

Jaheim Kennedy, Lakewood

Kennedy and his brother Javaughn Johnson combined for seven goals and two assists in two big results for Lakewood last week – a draw vs. Point Boro and a win over Brick. Kennedy scored an equalizer and assisted one by Johnson in a 2-2 tie vs. Point Boro, then chipped in two goals and an assist in a 5-3 win over Brick in which Johnson recorded a hat trick.

Class B South Honorable Mention: Owen Clearwaters, Point Boro; Joey Kurak, Manchester; Brady Kurak, Manchester; Mateo Pasqualichio, Lacey; Max Durazzo, Donovan Catholic; Javaughn Johnson, Lakewood; Jason Velez, Lacey; Tanner Grozinski, Lacey

Wild Cards

Sean Moore, Colts Neck

A week after his older brother, Kyle, was the Class B North Player of the Week with seven goals in two games, Sean Moore is on the ballot for the Player of the Week thanks to a scoring barrage that rivaled the one his older brother unleashed. The freshman Moore scored in a 2-1 loss to Steinert to open the week, then exploded for four goals and an assist in a 7-0 win over Freehold Boro.

Josiah Stepney, Middletown North

The Lions junior striker posted two braces last week, with a pair of goals apiece against both Manalapan and Red Bank Catholic. The two goals against Manalapan were particularly impactful, with the two goals sparking the Lions to a 2-0 win over a strong defensive side in the Braves.
