Each week, Shore Sports Network selects the top players in each Shore Conference boys soccer division and gives the Shore Conference fans a chance to vote for their pick as the overall Thrive Player of the Week.

Below are the Players of the Week from each of the six Shore Conference divisions, as well as two wild cards to push the list of nominees to eight players. Vote for the top performer in the poll at the bottom of the post and come back every hour to vote again. The poll closes Thursday at 10 p.m. and the winner will receive a shirt and a free training session, courtesy of Thrive.

Class A North Player of the Week

Dylan Millevoi, CBA

Millevoi helped CBA escape a stern challenge from Marlboro on the road by delivering the winning goal with 1:40 left in regulation, then followed it up with a hat trick in the first half in the Colts’ 6-0 win over Neptune in Shore Conference Tournament group play.

Class A North Honorable Mention: Vincenzo DiUbaldi, Freehold Twp.; Ethan Lustig, Manalapan; Nick Turturro, Howell; Dimitry Corba, CBA; Mike Pepe, Manalapan; Shawn McCann, Middletown South; Josiah Stepney, Middletown North; Ryan Cohen, Marlboro; Brayden Perry, CBA; Lawrence Mancino, CBA

Class A Central Player of the Week

Stephan Kapranov, Holmdel

Kapranov finished second in the Shore Conference in scoring as a sophomore in 2022 and he has picked up right where he left off. He was one of five goal-scorers for Holmdel in an opening-day win over Red Bank, but after that, he took on a majority of Holmdel’s scoring himself with eight goals in the Hornets’ next two wins – a hat trick vs. Raritan and a five-goal outburst vs. Manchester in SCT group play.

Class A Central Honorable Mention: Trey Cummings, Red Bank; Charlie Butters, Rumson-Fair Haven; Robert Keegan, Wall; Brady Walsh, Red Bank; Sean Newbert, Shore; Robert Sherman, Monmouth; Andrew Badalamenti, Raritan

Class A South Player of the Week

Dave Kroon, Central

Kroon is back and showing no signs of rust after missing most of his junior year with a leg injury. Central is off to a 4-0 start and Kroon made a major impact on the team’s scoring in three of them. He assisted two goals in the season-opening win over Jackson Memorial, delivered a goal and an assist in an SCT group-play win over Manchester, and scored twice in a 2-1, overtime win over Toms River East.

Class A South Honorable Mention: Keith Swistock, Central; Jordan Benzon, Central; Christian Caso, Toms River North; James Homyak, Toms River North; Jake Hall, Toms River South; Matt Hoosack, Southern; Aidan Donnelly, Southern; Jose Mayorga, Jackson Liberty; Dylan Kasanowski, Jackson Liberty

Class B North Player of the Week

Cruz Farkas, Manasquan

The Warriors have stormed out of the gate with three consecutive wins, including a statement, 4-1 victory over Freehold Township in SCT group play. In that win, Farkas scored two goals to lead the scoring attack, adding to the goal the sophomore scored in a 5-0, opening-day win over Neptune.

Class B North Honorable Mention: Ammar Danish, Freehold Boro; Noor Eraky, Ocean; Jacob Gomez, Ocean; Zach Frabizio, Ocean; Sean Hart, Matawan; Kyle Moore, Colts Neck; Thomas Silva-Ferreira, Long Branch; Chaunci Jones, Ocean; Cristian Gonzalez, Manasquan; Lucas Farkas, Manasquan; Gerardo Rodas-Maldonado, Long Branch

Class B Central Player of the Week

Anthony Marano, St. John Vianney

During a 3-0 start to the season, Marano and teammates Kyle DiMarco (one goal, seven assists) and Alex Siniscalchi (four goals) have put up big numbers, but Marano’s performance stands out. The junior has already posted five goals and three assists while notching at least one goal in each of the Lancers’ three wins.

Class B Central Honorable Mention: Kyle DiMarco, St. John Vianney; Jack Harmon, St. Rose; Alex Siniscalchi, St. John Vianney; Ryan Pasola, Point Beach; Brody Powers, Point Beach; Eddie Magherini, Ranney

Class B South Player of the Week

Joey Kurak, Manchester

Manchester played five games through Monday’s action and Kurak scored in all of them. The four-year starter scored two goals each vs. Brick, Central and Holmdel – the last two of which are a combined 7-0-1 to open the season. Kurak also posted a goal and an assist in Hawks wins over both Monmouth and Lakewood.

Class B South Honorable Mention: John Witkowski, Point Boro; Mateo Pasqualichio, Lacey; Julian Marfino, Barnegat; Matt Sarfo, Pinelands; Karl Laffredo, Brick; Max Durrazzo, Donovan Catholic; Gabe Occhipinti, Manchester; Devin Baldwin, Brick

Wild Cards

Mateo Pasqualichio, Lacey

There are some gaudy numbers from a handful of players in Class B South, with Kurak, Pasqualichio, Pinelands’ Matt Sarfo (six goals, one assist) and Barnegat’s Julian Marfino (five goals, three assists) all coming out of the gates on fire. Pasqualichio is right behind Kurak in production, putting up seven goals and two assists in five games.

Charlie Butters, Rumson-Fair Haven

With his team needing at least one scorer to step up on an inexperienced roster, Butters has given the Bulldogs exactly what they need. He scored twice in an opening-day win over Raritan, assisted Rumson’s goal in a draw vs. Ocean and scored the golden goal in an overtime win over Shore.
