Shore Sports Network was in West Long Branch on Monday afternoon as Monmouth University's football program held its annual media day ahead of the 2019 season. Kevin Williams caught up with a handful of the Hawks' top players, including Shore Conference alums Tymere Berry (Toms River South) and Matt Mosquera (Middletown South), as well as head coach Kevin Callahan, who enters his 27th season as the only coach in program history.

Senior defensive back Tymere Berry leads the Hawks' secondary and over the course of his career has emerged as a valuable team leader.

Matt Mosquera was an All-Big South Conference kicker last season and gives Monmouth a reliable weapon on special teams.

Head coach Kevin Callahan enters his 27th season guiding the Hawks.

Senior quarterback Kenji Bahar enters the 2019 season as the Big South Preseason Offensive Player of the Year.

Senior tackle Mahmoud Shabana returns to anchor an offensive line that will break in some new starters.
