CLASS A SOUTH

No. 3 Southern 10, Jackson Memorial 2

Senior midfielder Will Johnson scored five times, including his 100th career goal, as the Rams (6-2, 2-0) won their fifth straight game by downing the Jaguars (4-3, 1-2).

Johnson also had one assist while sophomore attackman Nick Fontana scored four goals with one assist and senior attackman Kyle Mulrane had two goals and three assists. Senior goalie Tristan Farina made 12 saves.

Santo Porazzo and John Chitren had goals for Jackson, and goalie Dylan Furnback made 12 saves.

 

NONDIVISIONAL

No. 5 Freehold Township 19, Toms River South 5

Junior attackman Chris Novella scored a game-high six goals with two assists and senior attackman Drew Dunn added four goals and three assists as the Patriots (5-3) scored another blowout win by running past the Indians (3-2).

Senior attackman Josh Nastarowicz scored twice with one assist and freshman Brendan Doel had one goal and three assists. Sophomore Matt Kondrup added one goal and one assist while Nick Elimanco, Mike Colicchia, Jeff Fisher and Mike Ferdinandi each scored once.

Ferdinandi and senior defenseman Shawn Poole each picked up six ground balls while Fisher won 10 of 15 face-offs. Junior goalie Billy Patten made four saves.

 

Holmdel 7, Brick 3

Billy DiMaio scored two goals with one assist and Justin Arredondo and Jake Preziose each registered one goal and one assist as the Hornets (4-4) pushed past the Dragons (3-4).

Kevin Burmeister scored once and Nick Tucillo made 18 saves in goal.
