CLASS B NORTH

No. 2 Rumson-Fair Haven 17, Red Bank 3

A balanced offense paced the Bulldogs (5-1, 2-0) in their Battle of Ridge Road victory over the Bucs (0-5, 0-1) as 13 different players scored goals to fuel Rumson's fifth win in a row.

Alex Werner, Colin Pavluk, Harry Ricker and Jack Whitelaw each scored twice while Wyatt Feinberg had one goal and two assists. Bryan Hess and Charlie Curran also had multi-point games with two assists each while Thomas Lizotte had one goal and one assist. Conor Deverin, Sean Bunnell and Liam Moriarity all saw time in goal.

Kent Hottman scored twice and Dan Bonanno scored once for Red Bank.

 

Shore 12, Ranney 5

Sophomore midfielder Gil Goldsmith scored three goals with three assists and sophomore midfielder Jake Turner scored three goals with two assists as the Blue Devils (3-2, 2-0) defeated the Panthers (0-2, 0-1) in West Long Branch.

Freshman Tom Bocco also scored three goals while sophomore Jack McCrae had one goal and three assists and junior Ryan Morris finished with two goals and one assist. Senior goalie Jack Brignola made six saves and freshman Scott Sirianni made three saves.

Jack Torpey scored three times for Ranney and Ian Dobrzynski made 16 saves.

Shore led in shots, 28-14, and held an 8-1 halftime lead.

 

NONDIVISIONAL

Brick Memorial 11, Lacey 6

Junior attackman Joey Ferrera scored a game-high five goals and senior attackman Gavin Murphy scored three goals with three assists, including his 100th career point, as the Mustangs (3-2) bounced back from a loss by defeating the Lions (3-1).

Senior attackman Henry Moran added three goals and one assist and goalie Matt Wood made 11 saves for Brick Memorial.

Senior midfielder Connor Wilson scored two goals to lead Lacey and junior goalie Justin Covey had a fine outing with 14 saves.

 

Toms River North 18, Barnegat 3

Senior attackman Andrew Lombardi had another big game with six goals and four assist to power the Mariners (5-1) to a road victory over the Bengals (1-3).

Jon Arocho scored all three goals for Barnegat.

 

St. Rose 15, Toms River East 5

Senior attackman Chris Bormida scored a game-high six goals and senior Jack Cusack added a hat trick to lead the Purple Roses (4-1) past the Raiders (0-5) in Toms River.

Shane Reilly scored twice and Griffin McDermott, Mike Kinsel, Kiel McMenaman and Joe Trilli each scored once. Senior goalie Robbie Brugnoli made 17 saves.

 

NONCONFERENCE

IMG Academy 14, No. 4 CBA 6

Senior attackman Nick Casner scored two goals and added two assists and junior midfielder Luke Valentino had one goal and one assist for the Colts (0-3), who fell to the nationally-ranked Ascenders in Bradenton, Fla.

Ryan Madalone, Connor Macrae and Nick Zanghi also scored for CBA while Ryan McGuiness (eight saves) and Chris Downey (six saves) split time in goal.

 

Hightstown 7, No. 8 St. John Vianney 2

Ryan Gilfillan scored twice, Andrew Poretta had one assist and C.J. Hanson made 12 saves for the Lancers (2-4) in a road loss to the Rams.
