Let’s take a look at who made some head-turning plays in Week Eight.
Brick quarterback Tom Zbranak scrambles and drops in a perfect pass to Ja'Sir Taylor for a 77-yard touchdown against Toms River North.
Matawan's Makiya Ceasar with an awesome spin move on one of his many great runs versus Manasquan.
6. Totally Worthy
Some great moves by Freehold sophomore Ashante Worthy as he takes a screen pass 40 yards to the house in a 28-13 win over Manalapan.
5. Jack on the Spot
You don't see this every day. Matawan blocks a Manasquan punt but Jack Mallet is there to come down with the ball and rumble 33 yards for a first down.
4. I got this
Matawan's Shawn Ramcheran blocks a Manasquan extra point late in the game to force overtime, helping the Huskies to a 30-27 win on a late field goal by Adam Elliot.
3. Tip Drill
Lakewood sophomore Jyhier Jones makes a great interception off a deflected pass vs. Barnegat.
2. Big-game Braden
Jackson Liberty's Braden Yorke had a huge game in the Lions' 25-22 upset win over Point Boro with two touchdown catches and two field goals, including this game-winning 37-yard field goal in overtime.
1. Magic Matt
This one was so good it made SportsCenter. We weren't at the game, but MSG Varsity's Gregg Lerner was able to catch the incredible play as Colts Neck's Matt Volk makes an insane touchdown catch on a pass from twin brother Hayden Volk in Colts Neck's 13-0 win over Wall.
