High school football is sport that you can't quite predict from week to week. When you are dealing with 15 through 18 year old boys, anything is possible.

We must start this week's blog with the statement win by Toms River North over Middletown South.  The final was 41-21, but this one was over in the first quarter, as Mike Husni and Bryce Watts put on a pitch and catch display that was too much for the previous #1 Eagles...

With Athletic Directors waiting until the last minute to make the call on whether to play or postpone because of the heavy winds and drenching rain up and down the coast, all schools scheduled to play, did play, with some interesting results.

Working within Shore Conference Football for 48 years in multiple facets, both on the field and in the broadcast field, I'm not sure I have ever seen an offensive display by 2 teams, in one game, that I witnessed on Saturday night at Toms River North with 806 yards and 14 TDs combined by North and Brick...

Week 2 saw one major upset, as Brick upended defending State Champs Jackson 29-6. The victory sets up a classic matchup this Saturday night, as the Dragons travel to TR North, to take on another defending State Champ. Of course these 2 both play in the A-South and therefore the game has huge implications in that race...
