Jen Louro of St. Rose and Elijah Mitchell of Mater Dei Prep were honored as Surf Taco/Ocean Trophies Players of the Game for helping their teams win Shore Conference Tournament Championships on Saturday at Monmouth University’s OceanFirst Bank Center.

Surf Taco President/Founder Rob Nagel presented Louro with her award after her 13-point, 8-rebound, 3-assist effort in the Purple Roses 56-31 victory over St. John Vianney. The University of Massachusetts Lowell recruit was a big reason why St. Rose won their fourth SCT title and first since 2012.

Mitchell received his award from Nagel after scoring 12 points and adding three steals in the Seraphs 54-41 victory over upstart Marlboro. He was especially effective in the first half when the Seraphs were struggling offensively before going on to make it back-to-back championships.

Nagel said Surf Taco was proud to partner with the Shore Sports Network during this year’s Shore Conference Tournament as they are a Jersey Shore original and love being part of the community. For the location nearest you visit www.surftaco.com.
