Friday’s South Jersey Group 5 championship game from Rowan University will be broadcast live on 105.7 The Hawk.

The Rams are making their second-ever trip to a sectional final and this one was unexpected but road victories over Washington Township and Eastern have moved Southern to win a win of their first-ever championship. The Rams come in with a record of 9-2 and are led by quarterback Dan Higgins, running back Abe Gonzalez, receiver Mike Gesicki and linebacker Nick Munafo.

Like the Rams Williamstown has never won a state sectional title but the Braves are poised to cap an undefeated season with a victory.

They rolled over their competition in the West Jersey Football League before taking care of Millville and Atlantic City in the playoffs. The Braves have averaged over 35 points per game. Junior John Chamberlin has rushed for over 1100 yards and 24 touchdowns while defensive end Julian Taylor has recorded 13 sacks and this week verbally committed to the University of Massachusetts.

Broadcast time for the game is 6:50 with Matt Harmon, Kevin Williams and Ed Sarluca handling the broadcast. It can also be heard on line at www.shoresportsnetwork.com and those with an iPhone or Android can download the free RadioPup app and listen to the broadcast.
