Rumson continued its surge toward a sixth consecutive division title with wins over Red Bank Catholic, Red Bank and Ocean, and Garavente was front and center with 17 points on 12 goals and five assists.

A Lafayette College signee and a Shore Sports Network First-Team All-Shore selection last season, Garavente started his week with four goals and three assists in a 16-4 win over rival RBC. The Battle of Ridge Road between Rumson and Red Bank was won by the Bulldogs, 12-7, and Garavante contributed one goal and two assists.

He was at his best in the Bulldogs' biggest game of the week when they took on previously-undefeated and fourth-ranked Ocean in a crucial Class B North game. Garavante was a one-man wrecking crew with seven goals on 13 shots, leading the way in a 13-4 victory that all but locked up the division title.

Garavente also reached 100 career goals during the week. He has 31 goals and 20 assists on the season and career stats of 109 goals and 80 assists. This coming week he'll look to lead Rumson back to the Shore Conference Tournament title game where the Bulldogs will try for their fifth title in seven seasons.
