The Player of the Week fan vote winner for Week 4 is Donovan Catholic senior midfielder Pete Schlendorf, who put up monster numbers and set the season record for single-game scoring in New Jersey.

Schlendorf scored 19 goals and added six assists in three games for the Griffins, and that included scoring nine goals with five assists in a win over Barnegat. His 14 points against the Bengals is the most a New Jersey player has scored in a game this season. Schlendorf followed that effort with eight goals in a victory over Jackson Liberty. He also had two goals and one assist in a loss to Wall. Schlendorf also reached the 250-point plateau in the Barnegat game.

Schlendorf, who is committed to Montclair State University and is a two-time all-Class B South selection, has 32 goals and 17 assists in nine games this season.

It was a tight two-man race for the Player of the Week crown this week as Schlendorf edged Southern senior midfielder Will Johnson with 46.82 percent of the vote. Johnson had 13 goals and two assists in three games for the Rams, including the game-winning goal in a 9-8 double-overtime win over Mainland. Jackson Memorial defenseman Sean Duggan had a goal and three assists along with 30 ground balls and came in third in the voting. Manasquan senior Jarrett Birch was fourth in the voting but had a huge week with 18 goals and four assists, including five goals in a win over Ridge and his 300th career point.
