Junior attackman Brady Derome scored a school single-game record eight goals and added two assists and sophomore goalie Nicholas Mueller recorded the third shutout in program history as the Indians (1-4, 1-2) blanked the Golden Eagles (1-4, 0-3) for their first win of the season.

Derome broke the previous mark of seven goals in a game set by Dillon Dusash in 2007 and tied by Cooper Guzzi in 2017. The last shutout in goal was by Tom Baxter in 2010.

Nicholas Romaine added three goals and three assists, Ben Hartzfeld had a goal and an assist, and Dennis Forbes and Michael Desiderio each scored once.

Brady Etzkorn made 20 saves for Central.

Sophomore attackman Brady Kirk tallied three goals and two assists to record his 100th career point as the Panthers (4-1, 2-1) ran past the Lions (2-4, 1-3) to continue their strong start to the season.

Robert Trapanese led all players with four goals while Brian Ostrander had a goal and three assists and Spencer Knapp had two goals and one assist. Greyson Ritter added a goal and an assist and Brian Orio and Jason Piemonte each scored once. Colin Cole made 13 saves to back up a strong defensive performance.

 

Nonconference

No. 4 Manasquan 8, Ocean City 3

Senior midfielder James Farinacci deposited four goals and added one assist for a game-high five points and junior goalie Nick Bounassi turned aside 12 shots to send the Warriors (4-1) to a road victory over the Red Raiders (3-1).

Joseph Carabetta scored twice, Matt. Porazzo and Brandon Kunz each had a goal and an assist. and Ryan Aldi assisted on one goal.

 

No. 9 Red Bank 12, Princeton 9

Senior midfielder Henry Spencer and junior midfielder Andrew Pape each recorded three goals and three assists to power the Bucs (4-1) to a victory over the Tigers (3-2).

Senior midfielder Ryder Villani and freshman attackman Gabe Pape each had two goals and one assist while sophomore attackman Jack Tavares also scored twice. Senior attackman Trey Lynch had two assists and senior goalie Gavin Lisko made 12 saves to earn the win in goal.
