Shore Conference Alumnus Matt Mosquera Talks Monmouth Football

Monmouth University will open Big South play this Saturday when they host Campbell Saturday on what will be Homecoming at Kessler Stadium (1 p.m.).  The Hawks went 4-2 during their non-conference schedule and Saturday’s matchup with the Camels (5-1) will be the first of five straight Big South games.

Monmouth has received contributions from several Shore Conference alumni including junior kicker Matt Mosquera who is 5-6 on field goal attempts and has made all 19 of his extra point tries.  Best known as a quarterback during his time at Middletown South, Mosquera has settled in nicely as the Hawks kicker and spoke this week with Monmouth’s Eddy Occhipinti.
