CLASS A NORTH

Neptune at No. 5 Freehold Township - postponed to Monday

 

CLASS B NORTH

No. 2 Rumson-Fair Haven 17, Red Bank Catholic 2

Senior attackman Colin Pavluk scored four goals and senior attackman Charlie Curran added two goals and one assist as the Bulldogs won their 13th straight game by downing the Caseys.

Jack Kapcsos and Jack Zenkert scored for Red Bank Catholic while Ryan Marshall made 20 saves.

 

No. 7 St. John Vianney 15, Shore 9

Senior midfielder Ryan Gilfillan scored six times and also had three assists, while sophomore goalie C.J. Hanson made 20 saves to power the Lancers past the Blue Devils.

Senior attackman Andrew Porretta had a hat trick plus four assists and freshman Matt Franzoni tallied four goals with one assist for St. John Vianney. Tino D'Amore finished with one goal and two assists, Anthony Brett had a goal and an assist and James Guilbert picked up a team-high nine ground balls.

 

Holmdel 15, Long Branch 1

John McCauley had a hat trick plus one assist and Jake Preziose also scored three times as the Hornets took care of the Green Wave.

Justin Arredondo, Jack Cook and Kevin Burmeister each scored twice while Billy DiMaio had a goal and three assists for Holmdel. Cook also went 16-for-16 on face-offs and picked up 11 ground balls. Arredondo added two assists. Dan Tempone ad Matthew Lionette scored once.

 

 

CLASS B SOUTH

No. 1 Manasquan 15, Point Boro 0

Senior attackman Jarrett Birch notched his 300th career point with four goals and one assist as the Warriors took care of business against the Panthers.

Sophomore midfielder James Pendergist had a hat trick and senior midfielder Devan Carroll scored two goals with one assist. Sophomore attackman Canyon Birch also scored twice and sophomore goalie Mike LaPoint made three saves.

James Mclduff and Joe Tonkovich each had a goal and an assist and Pat Felstedt and John Moran scored once.

 

No. 6 Wall 18, Barnegat 0

Junior attackman Mike McIntyre scored seven goals with one assist and the Crimson Knights shut out the Bengals on senior day.

Wall seniors Christopher Stone, Gavin Savage, Evan Gacos, Jack Fay, Jack Byrne and Joe Belko were honored for their contributions to the program. Gacos scored once and picked up a game-high nine ground balls, Stone had a goal and Belko and Byrne had one assist each.

Tim O'Hern scored twice with three assists and Jack Textor also had two goals. Will Forte, Ryan Byrne and James Plisky each scored once.

 

Lacey 17, St. Rose 4

The Lions earned a convincing road win over the Purple Roses as Dylan Vitale had a hat trick plus four assists and Mike Sabarese had a game-high four goals and one assist to lead Lacey.

Ryan Giles also had a hat trick with one assist while JoeCarlo Chimenti had two goals and three assists. Connor Wilson added two goals and one assist and Chris Augustine scored twice. Justin Covey finished with eight saves to pick up the win.

Mike Kinsel, Billy Frost, Chris Bormida and Joe Trilli each scored once for St. Rose. Griffin McDermott had two assists and Brendan Perry made eight saves.

 

Donovan Catholic 14, Jackson Liberty 10

Senior midfielder Pete Schlendorf scored eight goals and Andrew Schlendorf had a hat trick to fuel the Griffins in their victory over the Lions.

Hunter MacPherson and P.J. Spernal each scored twice, Trevor Barber had one goal and one assist and Peter Rao made three saves.

 

NONCONFERENCE

No. 3 Southern 9, Mainland 8 (2OT)

Senior midfielder Will Johnson scored the game-winning goal early in double overtime as the Rams (9-2) won a thriller over the Mustangs (7-3) on Saturday morning.

Anellio Russo set up Johnson for the deciding goal after a face-off win by Anthony Firmani. Johnson and senior attackman Kyle Mulrane each scored three times while Cade Johnson scored twice and Nick Fontana had a goal and three assists. Senior goalie Tristan Farina had another huge game with 21 saves.

 

Middletown South 14, North Brunswick 4

Noah Diodato had three goals and four assists and Alex Madden scored two goals with two assists to lead the Eagles to victory.

Matt Tardy also scored twice while Zach Albrecht, Connor Ard, Pete Lawson, Chris Lucyk, Mike Pagliettini, Phil Tracy and Pat Walsh scored once.
