Brick Memorial rebounded from a Week One loss in a huge way by running wild on third-ranked Toms River North for a crucial 52-20 Shore Conference Class A South victory on Friday night in the Jersey Mike's Game of the Week.

Senior quarterback Tim Santiago had a career day with a program-record 320 yards rushing and four touchdowns as part of a team rushing total of over 500 yards. Santiago, who had over 200 yards rushing in the first half, also threw a 32-yard touchdown pass to senior running back Eli Lavarin. Sophomore running back Tony Thorpe ran for over 100 yards and had a pair of touchdown runs.

Santiago's mark of 320 yards broke the previous record of 307 set by former Mustangs quarterback and current assistant coach Brian Staub, who did it against Jackson Memorial in 2007.

Senior kicker Matt Cuppari also kicked a career-long 47-yard field goal.

Senior Asante Moorer had a fumble return touchdown, sophomore running back Daryn Blackwell ran for a 10-yard score and junior quarterback Mike Husni had a touchdown run for Toms River North.
