The 33rd annual WOBM Christmas Classic officially began on Sunday, December 11th with the seeding of the teams and continued earlier this morning with the annual breakfast.

All 32 participating teams and coaches were invited to attend the event which included an introduction by Shore Sports Network Director Kevin Williams, comments by Toms River Regional Schools Superintendent David Healey and tips from Toms River South Athletic Trainer Dan Chrashewsky.

Highlighting the morning were the words by guest speaker and Rutgers wrestling coach Scott Goodale, who spoke to the students about the importance of social and academic performance, to go along with their athletic work.  Watch the above video for the full speech.

The first game of the WOBM Christmas Classic takes place on Saturday, December 17th when the girls bracket officially tips off, with the boys bracket beginning the following day.  All games take place on the campus of Toms River High School North, both in the Toms River North gym and in the Pine Belt Arena.  The classic runs through December 30th, when the boys and girls brackets both end with the championship games.
