The win brings Rutgers to a 6-0 overall record, with three of those victories in the Big East. The record makes the Scarlet Knights Bowl eligible for the seventh time in the last eight years.

Rutgers bumped up to No. 17 in both the USA Today Coaches and Harris polls and ranks No. 19 in the latest AP poll.

The Scarlet Knights also debuted at No. 15 in the first Bowl Championship Series (BCS) rankings of season released Sunday night, according to Scarlet Nation. The ranking marks the highest Rutgers has debuted in the 15-year history of the BCS.

Rutgers is ranked the highest Big East team, just one spot above No. 16 Louisville.

Senior linebacker Khaseem Greene was honored with the Walter Camp Football Foundation National Defensive Player of the Week Award for his play against Syracuse, according to Scarlet Nation.

Sophomore quarterback Gary Nova extended his streak to 19 quarters without an interception.

Rutgers will travel to Temple this weekend. The Owls (3-2) are also undefeated in the Big East.
