Right At Home On The Right Side

It’s only 8.6 miles from Rumson Fair-Haven Regional High School to Kessler Stadium but like many football players, Pete Righi found the transition from high school to college football was a significant one. Righi did not see any time as a freshman or start as a sophomore but after moving around the offensive line a bit found a home at right guard where he started all 11 games last season. Now a 6’3, 285 pound senior he is one of the five returning starters on a unit that should be a Hawks strength this fall.

Monmouth and Shore Sports Network play-by-play announcer Matt Harmon talked with Righi as the Hawks prepare for this Saturday’s home game against Lehigh.
