It took some time to get together, but we were finally able to catch up with former football great Phil Villapiano who was recently voted as the Jersey Shore’s Greatest Sports Personality of the last 50 years during a month-long competition on shoresportsnetwork.com sponsored by Sonny’s Recycling.

Best known for his days as a Pro Bowl linebacker with the Oakland Raiders, the Monmouth County native was proud to receive this latest of many honors and talked about the possibility of being chosen for the Pro Football Hall of Fame next year.
