Every week this regular season, Shore Conference football fans will have their chance to vote for the Orthopaedic Institute of Central Jersey/Shore Sports Network Football Player of the Week on our website, with over 70,000 votes cast already this season.

For the second time this season, Wall senior Sean Larkin is the Shore Conference Player of the Week as the fans selected him for the Week 5 honor. Larkin ran for 163 yards and two touchdowns on 30 carries, threw a 64-yard touchdown pass and brought down the game-clinching interception in a thrilling 27-21 comeback victory over Red Bank Catholic.

Larkin scored on two short runs, the second of which came with under a minute to play and gave the Crimson Knights their first lead of the game. He threw a 64-yard touchdown to junior Chevesse Covin on a halfback pass that tied the score at 21 in the fourth quarter. Wall was down 21-7 at halftime and scored the game's final 20 points while limiting Red Bank Catholic to 39 yards and two first downs in the second half.

Through five games, Larkin has 695 yards rushing and 11 touchdowns on 93 carries for an average of 7.5 yards per attempt. Wall is 5-0 for the first time since 2011.

Larkin beat out some players with monster performances last week by getting a late push to garner 43.9 percent of the vote. Freehold's Ashante Worthy had a career day in a 52-27 win over Monroe with 288 yards rushing and 5 touchdowns along with 202 yards passing and 2 touchdowns. Central's Mike Bickford went bonkers with a career-high 363 yards rushing on 21 carries and seven total touchdowns. Toms River North's Mike Husni had 331 total yards between passing and rushing and six total touchdowns.
