Every week this regular season, Shore Conference football fans will have their chance to vote for the Orthopaedic Institute of Central Jersey/Shore Sports Network Football Player of the Week on our website, with over 65,000 votes cast already this season.

The Shore Conference Player of the Week for Week 4 is Point Beach junior quarterback Luke Frauenheim, who accounted for 254 total yards and five touchdowns, while also recording eight tackles with two for a loss in the Garnet Gulls' 34-13 victory over Middlesex. Frauenheim completed 8 of 12 passes for 168 yards and four touchdowns and carried 16 times for 86 yards and a touchdown.

Frauenheim ran for a two-yard touchdown in the first quarter and connected with senior wide receiver Ryan Sloan on a 28-yard touchdown to put Point Beach up 14-0. In the second quarter he tossed a 25-yard touchdown to senior running back Declan Conway, and later threw a 17-yard score to senior running back Jacob Clement. He capped the scoring on a career day with a 13-yard touchdown to Sloan (video above). The victory evened Point Beach's record at 2-2.

Through four games, Frauenheim has completed 22 of 46 passes for 458 yards and 5 touchdowns while also running for 175 yards and a touchdown.

It was another very close race for player of the week honors, as Frauneheim, Wall's Sean Larkin and Manalapan's Tommy Pearce were the top three for much of the voting period. Larkin held a slim lead late Tuesday before the Point Beach fans made a late push to secure the win for Frauenheim with 30.13 percent of the vote.
