Colts Neck 3, Lacey 0

Junior Kyle Moore scored the first goal of the game on a penalty kick and capped the scoring with a goal in the third minute of the second half, sparking the Cougars (0-1) to a win over the Lacers (0-3) in their season opener.

Moore drew the foul inside the box that led to his icebreaking penalty kick, which he buried into the middle of the goal.

Colts Neck extended its lead to 2-0 in the 35th when sophomore Jonah Chiang dribbled through a trio of defenders, found space and slammed in his first career goal.

Moore capped the scoring in the 43rd after a won-ball in the Lacey third of the field and finish to the far right corner of the goal.

Shore 9, Red Bank Catholic 0

Seniors Ty Jackson and Sean Newbert each scored two goals and four Shore players scored their first career goals in a Blue Devils (2-1) win over the Caseys (0-1).

Freshman Michael Ilvento notched his first goal along with an assist, while classmate Andreas Barrett also tallied his first goal. Junior Joey Ilvento junior Declan Drucker also scored their first goals in the win, while senior Maxx Eichenbaum struck for a goal.
