Group 7

No. 15 Long Branch 2, Brick 0

Johan Gomez scored in the first half, then assisted a goal by Chris Garcia Lopez in the second half as the Green Wave (7-2-1) blanked the Green Dragons (2-5-1) to clinch first place in the group.

The loss by Brick also sends Jackson Memorial into the SCT knockout stage as the second-place team in the group.

 

Class A North

No. 1 CBA 4, No. 10 Manalapan 1

Vinny Bright gave Manalapan a 1-0 lead with a penalty kick 10 minutes into the match, but the Colts (10-1, 5-0) answered with four unanswered goals the rest of the way to beat the Braves (4-5, 1-4) and clinch the outright Class A North championship.

CBA got even right away with a penalty kick by Dylan Millevoi in the 12th minute and took the lead in the 38th on a shot to the top corner by Cameron D'Alterio off a feed from Dan Dinnell.

Brayden Perry put the game away with CBA's third goal, scoring off an assist from Conor Mellor in the 74th minute. Charlie Pesce capped the scoring in the 76th, with an assist from Dimitry Corba.

No. 14 Middletown South 3, No. 9 Marlboro 2

Shawn McCann assisted goals by Chris Plessing and Dylan Sibilia and Gian Luca Zito scored what proved to be the game-winner as the Eagles (4-4-1, 2-3-0) picked up a key Class A North win over the Mustangs (4-3-2, 2-3-1).

Trevor Barrett scored a first-half equalizer for Marlboro and Yasine Isa scored Marlboro's second goal, which cut the deficit to 3-2.

 

Class A Central

Shore 3, Red Bank 2

Santino Scarponi scored a goal in the second half and assisted the game-winner by Lukas Villa to help lead the Blue Devils (6-4, 4-1) to a win over the Bucs (3-8, 1-5) that keeps their hopes of a division-title share alive.

Freshman Silvio Pessoa scored his first varsity goal in the first half on a 30-yard blast and both Nick Bennett and Andreas Barrett chipped in with assists for Shore.

Carlos Guerra scored a goal and assisted one by Brady Walsh to highlight Red Bank's scoring effort.

Wall 4, Monmouth 1

Bo Pepe scored a goal in each half and Jake Petillo scored the game-winner in the 30th minute to help the Crimson Knights (6-5, 2-3) top the Falcons (2-7, 0-5).

Pepe scored his second goal off a Robert Keegan assist in the 52nd minute and Ryan Anderson capped the scoring in the 59th with a goal off a pass from Cooper Harmon.

Senior Matt Porto scored the Monmouth goal in the 21st minute to draw the Falcons even.

 

Class A South

Jackson Memorial 1, Toms River South 0 (OT)

Tyler Korinchek scored the golden goal in the first minute of overtime off a pass from Alex Felicelli and the Jaguars (4-5-1, 3-3-0) pulled out an extra-time win over the Indians (4-3-2, 1-3-2). Jackson Memorial also got good news from Long Branch, where Brick lost to the Green Wave to officially clinch Jackson Memorial a spot in the Shore Conference Tournament.

No. 3 Southern 3, No. 6 Central 1

Brody Nacarlo's 50-plus-yard free kick bounced off the turf and into the goal in the 53rd for the game-winning score and the Rams (8-0-2, 5-0-1) pulled away with a win over the Golden Eagles (7-2-1, 4-1-1) to move within one more win of clinching the program's first outright Class A South championship since 1989.

Southern jumped out to a 1-0 lead on a leaping, left-foot volley by Nick Prosperi on a cross from fellow junior Matt Hoosack.

Central equalized in the 44th minute when Landon Kavanaugh knocked in a cross from David Kroon, with the ball just barely crossing the goal-line after Southern goalkeeper Ryan Schweigert got his hand on it.

Nacarlo's long ball and subsequent fortuitous bounce broke the tie in the 53rd and Aidan Donnelly ran down a punt by Schweigert and walked the ball into an empty net with 22 seconds left.

Toms River East 1, Brick Memorial 0

Rowen Joice scored the game-winning goal in the second half off a pass from Jack Smyth and the Raiders (4-3-2, 2-3-1) won their third straight by topping the Mustangs (0-7-2, 0-4-2).

No. 4 Toms River North 4, Jackson Liberty 0

Jack Marro started the scoring off a corner kick and three more Mariners (8-2, 5-1) jumped into the scoring sheet in a win over the Lions (3-6-1, 0-5-1).

Christian Caso assisted goals by Brady Gillman and Anthony Ruggiero and Chris Ruggiero capped the scoring out of a scramble in the box for Toms River North.

 

Class B North

No. 12 Manasquan 5, Matawan 0

Cristian Gonzalez and Luke Beavis each assisted a goal in the first half, then scored one in the second as the Warriors (7-3, 4-0) coasted to a win over the Huskies (4-5, 2-3).

Cruz Farkas opened the scoring in the 16th minute off a feed from Gonzalez, while Beavis served up a corner kick in the 38th that Griffin Mack headed in for a 3-0 Manasquan lead.

Luke Roy knocked in a cross from Jake Koop to give Manasquan a 2-0 lead in the 22nd.

Neptune 2, Freehold Boro 0

Sebastian Canaverde scored two minutes before halftime, then assisted a goal by Julian Lemus to help the Scarlet Fliers (1-7, 1-4) outlast the Colonials (2-7, 0-5) for their first win of the season and the first win for head coach Bobby Feeney.

 

Class B Central

No. 11 St. Rose 9, Henry Hudson 0

Jake Kane, Carlos Ramos and Matt Alexis each scored two goals as the Purple Roses (7-1-3, 4-0-2) blew open the game in the second half to pick up a win over the Admirals (2-7, 2-4).

Alexis and Kane each assisted a goal and Diego Nieves scored St. Rose's lone first-half goal. Vladislav Aguirre and Matt Dayton each scored to cap the scoring.

Keyport 2, Asbury Park 1

John Covert scored off a pass from Edwin Prudente and Logan Scasso added a goal off a feed from Dan Metrick as the Red Raiders (2-7, 2-4) held off the Blue Bishops (1-7-1, 1-3-1).

Joel Guzman scored late in the first half to cut the Asbury Park deficit to 2-1, but the Red Raiders prevented the equalizer.

Ranney 4, Red Bank Catholic 1

Dev Nayer scored a hat trick and Eddie Magherini added a goal to spark the Panthers (2-5-2, 2-2-2) to a win over the Caseys (0-9, 0-5).

St. John Vianney 3, Point Beach 0

Dylan Smith scored in the final two minutes of the first half and Anthony Marano put the game away with two goals in the second half to help the Lancers (6-3-1, 5-0-1) beat the Garnet Gulls (4-4-2, 3-1-2) and move within one win of a Class B Central division championship.

Smith headed in a corner kick from Kyle DiMarco in the 39th minute to open the scoring. Marano made it 2-0 in the 48th by scoring off a pass from Mason Boles, the finished off a pass from DiMarco to cap the scoring in the 52nd.

St. John Vianney can clinch its first division championship since the mid 2000's with a win over Asbury Park on Thursday.

 

Class B South

Lakewood 2, Barnegat 1

Javaughn Johnson scored the tying goal in the 33rd minute and the game-winner in the 55th as the Piners (2-5-2, 2-2-1) rallied from an early deficit to beat the Bengals (2-7, 1-5).

Freshman Nate Sisco delivered the game's first goal to put Barnegat ahead in the first minute of the match.

Manchester 2, Pinelands 0

Joey Kurak scored a goal in each half -- both off assists from Gabe Occhipinti -- and the Hawks (7-4, 5-1) stayed in the hunt for the Class B South championship with a win over the Wildcats (5-7, 2-4). Manchester can clinch its first division championship since 2002 with a win over Donovan Catholic on Thursday.

Lacey 3, Donovan Catholic 1

Anthony Introna, Connor Noon and Matteo Pasqualichio each scored a goal and the Lions (6-4, 5-1) moved one win closer to a Class B South championship by upending the Griffins (2-6, 2-3). Lacey can clinch a share of the division championship along with Manchester with a win over Brick on Thursday, or win the division outright with a win and a Manchester loss or tie vs. Donovan Catholic.

 

Non-Division

Point Boro 2, No. 8 Colts Neck 1

Owen Clearwaters scored five minutes before halftime off a pass from Matt Decker and Garrett Gurzo scored a crucial second Point Boro goal in the 55th off a Jared Drewes feed as the Panthers (5-4-1) picked up a statement win over the Cougars (6-2) -- Colts Neck's first loss vs. a Shore Conference team this season.

Kyle Moore broke up the shutout with a Colts Neck goal in the 63rd minute, but Point Boro and goalkeeper Andrew Holper held firm over the final 17 minutes.

 

Non-Conference

No. 2 Howell 3, North Brunswick 0

Nick Turturro scored goals five minutes apart in the first half and assisted one by Dave Merino in the 63rd minute as the Rebels (6-1-2) rolled through the Raiders.

 

Class B North

No. 8 Colts Neck at No. 15 Long Branch – PPD, TBA

Class B South
