Group 4

No. 9 Marlboro 6, Barnegat 0

Yasine Isa and Vincent Pollifrone each scored two goals and the Mustangs rolled through the Bengals to clinch a spot in the Shore Conference Tournament field.

Ryan Cohen contributed a goal and two assists while Trevor Barrett accounted for the other Marlboro goal.

 

Group 6

No. 15 Ocean 1, No. 11 Middletown South 0

Noor Eraky buried a free kick in the first half and goalkeeper Zach Frabizio delivered a key save late in a shutout performance as the Spartans picked up three crucial points in topping the Eagles.

Ocean's win gives the Spartans a leg up in the race for the top spot in the group over Middletown South and Rumson-Fair Haven. The three teams have all played one another and Ocean leads the trio with seven points, with Middletown South at six and Rumson at four.

 

Group 8

No. 8 Colts Neck 7, Red Bank Catholic 0

Nick Sergio and Sean Moore each scored two goals and the Cougars cruised to a win over the Caseys to set up a chance to win the group with a win over Shore on Saturday.

Kyle Moore opened the scoring and assisted Sean Moore's second goal, which made it 4-0 just before halftime. Sean Moore assisted Sergio's first goal to make it 2-0, then scored his first to extend the Colts Neck lead to 3-0.

Sergio's second goal made it 5-0 and Dan Killick and Joseph Cortez each added goals for Colts Neck.

Class A South

Toms River South 3, Jackson Liberty 1

Kenny Caruso assisted Toms River South's second goal, the capped the scoring with a penalty kick to pace the Indians to a win over the Lions.

Caden Langan headed in a corner kick from Brody Robillard to open the scoring and Caruso linked up with Noah Beaton, who finished the second goal for Toms River South.

 

Class B Central

Asbury Park 0, Ranney 0

 

Non-Division

No. 4 Southern 2, No. 10 Manalapan 1

Nick Prosperi scored the equalizer in the final two minutes of the first half and Matt Pleyn scored the winner in the first two minutes of the second as the Rams rode that one-two scoring punch to a key non-divisional win over the Braves.

Prosperi headed in a ball from fellow junior Brody Reynolds to level the score at 1-1 before halftime. Pleyn then finished off a pass from Brody Nacarlo to give Southern the lead. Manalapan had a chance to tie the game in the final minute, but Rams goalkeeper Ryan Schweigert stopped a breakaway opportunity.

Steve Bechutsky staked Manalapan to a 1-0 lead with a goal in the 23rd minute off an assist from Tyler Katz.
