Class A North

No. 14 Middletown South 2, No. 1 CBA 1

Matteo Niglio stunned CBA in the first half with the first goal of the game, Shawn McCann sent the Colts reeling with another goal in the 67th minute and the Eagles held on to knock off the No. 1 team at the Shore and in the state, ending CBA's 27-game winning streak vs. in-state competition.

McCann's goal put CBA on the brink, but the Colts fought back with and earned a penalty kick that Dylan Millevoi converted to slice a goal off the deficit. It was too little, too late, however, and Middletown South closed out its first win over CBA since 2014.

No. 2 Howell 2, No. 5 Middletown North 1

Junior Tye Maser buried a 25-yard blast off an assist by Bryce Ocholla to break a deadlock in the 69th minute and the Rebels beat the Lions to clinch the Class A North public division championship for the second straight season.

Howell jumped on top with a goal by senior Brent Romano in the 45th minute off a pass from junior Tyler Borenstein. Middletown North pulled even with an own goal in the 54th.

No. 10 Manalapan 2, Freehold Twp. 1

Mike Pepe scored twice in the second half and the Braves erased a one-goal deficit to rally for a win over the Patriots.

Pepe scored the equalizer in the 61st minute off a corner kick by A.J. DeRosa, then struck again with the go-ahead score six minutes later after a short pass to set him up from Jon Lutz.

Nate Reiser staked Freehold Township to a 1-0 lead with a goal in the 34th minute.

 

Class A Central

Raritan 4, Monmouth 0

Eion Davis and Stefan Cojocariu each collected a goal and an assist to lead the Rockets to a win over the Falcons -- their fourth straight victory after starting the season 0-5.

Davis set up a goal by Sean Burnett to open the scoring, then converted the second Raritan goal. Cojocariu followed with a goal off an assist from Carter Kelly for a 3-0 Raritan lead, then found Jake Bennett for the finish and a 4-0 lead.

No. 7 Holmdel 2, Shore 1

Frankie Brusco and Kieran Hynes each scored a goal and the Hornets fought off the Blue Devils to snap a two-game skid.

Santino Scarpino scored the lone goal for Shore, which came off a pass from Joey Ilvento.

No. 16 Rumson-Fair Haven 3, Wall 2

Sophomore Bobby Tamashunas and junior Peyton Werner each scored their first varsity goals and the Bulldogs rallied from two goals down to upend the Crimson Knights and clinch the outright Class A Central championship.

This marks the third straight season in which Rumson has won at least a share of a division title and the second time in those three years the Bulldogs have won the Class A Central crown outright.

Padraig Flynn also scored during the comeback off an assist from Owen Saad and Liam Barnett assisted Werner's goal.

Bo Pepe and Christain Garduza scored to help Wall storm out to a 2-0 lead that Rumson erased by halftime.

 

Class A South

No. 4 Toms River North 4, No. 6 Central 0

Anthony Ruggiero finished off a pass from younger brother, Chris, to open the scoring and four more Mariners joined the score sheet in a win over the Golden Eagles that clinches Toms River North its fourth straight Class A South championship.

Christian Assante scored Toms River North's third goal off a pass from Christian Caso and assisted a goal by Josh Brazier that capped the scoring. Luke Montanile struck off a pass from Turkcan Curak to push the Mariners lead to 2-0.

Jackson Memorial 2, No. 3 Southern 1

Alex Felicilli scored from a difficult angle to break a 1-1 tie in the 68th minute and the Jaguars held on to knock off the Rams, spoiling Southern's bid for its second division championship in four years.

Jackson Memorial pulled even in the 59th with a goal by Shaan Moon, who scored for the fifth time in the last five games -- the last four of which are Jaguars wins.

Southern grabbed a 1-0 halftime lead on a goal by Nick Prosperi off a pass from Luis Peña.

Toms River East 3, Jackson Liberty 0

Rowen Joice and Aiden Corapi each scored a goal and an assist and the Raiders blanked the Lions to run their winning streak to four.

Luke Bodziak scored the first Toms River East goal and Jack Smyth also chipped in an assist.

Brick Memorial 1, Toms River South 1

 

Class B North

No. 8 Colts Neck 5, No. 12 Manasquan 3

Brothers Kyle and Sean Moore combined for three goals and three assists and the Cougars won a back-and-forth barnburner on the road over the Warriors to take over sole possession of first place in the Class B North division race.

Kyle Moore scored the first goal of the game off a pass from his freshman younger brother in the 38th minute, but Manasquan struck back in the 39th on a breakaway and rip from Cruz Farkas.

Sam Gershon gave Colts Neck the lead back in the 43rd minute with a shot from the top of the 18-yard and in the 47th, Kyle Moore beat two defenders along the end line and found Ben Kazani for the tap-in and 3-1 Cougars lead.

Manasquan responded with two goals within two minutes of one another to level the score. Lucas Farkas slammed in a pass from Brandon Kunz in the 58th and Tristan Davolos-Guillen finished off a rebound after an initial shot by Lucas Farkas to tie it up in the 59th.

A little more than two minutes later, Colts Neck grabbed the lead back when Kyle Moore buried a 20-yard strike after a back-heel pass from Sean Moore. In the 74th, Sean Moore capped the scoring by stealing the ball from a Manasquan defender, juking goalkeeper Dylan Morris and completing the finish.

Morris jolted his team early by saving a penalty kick by Kyle Moore in the second minute.

No. 15 Long Branch 3, Neptune 0

Chris Garcia Lopez scored in the first minute off a pass from Wyatt Vicente and the Green Wave stayed in the race for the Class B North championship with a shutout win over the Scarlet Fliers.

Anthony Hernandez extended the lead to 2-0 in the 29th minute and Thomas Silva-Ferreira capped the scoring in the 63rd off a set-up from Marvin Oyuela.

Goalkeeper Carlos Rodas-Maldonado made two standout saves in the second half to preserve the clean sheet.

No. 13 Ocean 1, Freehold Boro 0

Noor Eraky scored the straight game-winning goal in a 1-0 win for the third straight game and the Spartans held on for another tight win over the Colonials on Senior Night.

Jacob Gomez picked up the assist on the goal while Zach Frabizio locked down the shutout in goal.

 

Class B Central

Point Beach 6, Red Bank Catholic 0

Brody Powers racked up a hat trick and Dylan Ryan added two goals and an assist to carry the Garnet Gulls to a win over the Caseys. Jimmy Borowski scored the other Point Beach goal.

St. John Vianney 4, Asbury Park 0

Kyle DiMarco scored two goals and assisted another by Dylan Smith as the Lancers topped the Blue Bishops to clinch their first division championship since winning Class A Central in 2005.

Smith also assisted a goal by Will Keegan that broke the ice in the 26th minute. DiMarco then made it 2-0 with a goal in the 35th minute off a pass from Anthony Marano. DiMarco then set up Smith's goal a minute later for a 3-0 St. John Vianney lead heading into halftime.

DiMarco added the exclamation point by bending in a corner kick in the 45th.

 

Class B South

Lacey 1, Brick 0

Senior Matteo Pasqualichio delivered the game-winning goal on a penalty kick in the 62nd minute and the Lions took down the Green Dragons to clinch a share of their second division championship in three years.

Lakewood 7, Pinelands 0

Jose Oliva went off for four goals -- including a second-half hat trick -- and the Piners routed the Wildcats.

Javaughn Johnson, Andrew Tabora and Steven Aguilar each added a goal for Lakewood.

Point Boro 1, Barnegat 0

Drew Cardia scored the game-winning goal in the 68th minute off an assist from Matt Decker and the Panthers escaped with a win over the Bengals while playing without injured top scorers Owen Clearwaters and Jon Witkowski.

Manchester 4, Donovan Catholic 1

Joey Kurak scored the first of his two goals in the 14th minute to tie the game and later capped the scoring in the 75th minute as the Hawks upended the Griffins to clinch a share of their first division championship since 2002.

Kurak drew a foul in the box and converted it for the tying goal after Charlie Yuro gave Donovan the lead with a goal in the 10th minute.

Manchester took the lead for good in the 26th minute, when Cody McLeod volleyed home a cross from Josh Rosado. The score remained 2-1 until the 60th minute, when Jan Tracz headed in a corner kick by Gabe Occhipinti. Occhipinti also assisted Kurak's clincher in the 75th.

Group 6

Rumson-Fair Haven 4, Keyport 0

Liam Barnett assisted a head-ball goal by Zach Halpern that opened the scoring and added a goal of his own before halftime as the Bulldogs wrapped up group play with a win over the Red Raiders.

Charlie Butters made it 2-0 in the 18th minute by running down a punt by goalkeeper Spencer Smith and finishing, followed by Barnett's goal off a pass from Luke D'Angelo in the 29th.

Owen Saad capped the scoring with a goal in the 73rd off Barnett's second assist of the match.
