(5) A.L. Johnson 2, (4) Rumson-Fair Haven 1 (OT)

An own goal ended Rumson's season six minutes into overtime, with the Crusaders knocking off the Bulldogs to advance to the sectional semifinals Wednesday against the winner of Saturday's quarterfinal between No. 9 Wall and No. 1 Holmdel.

Parker Reyes gave Johnson the initial lead by scoring with 10 seconds left in the first half.

Rumson countered with a penalty kick by Liam Barnett after Luke D'Angelo drew a takedown inside the penalty box on a breakaway.

 

South Jersey Group IV

(5) Rancocas Valley 2, (4) Central 0

Jake Barletta scored in the 18th and 58th minutes and the Red Devils made the most of their three shots in the game in knocking off the Golden Eagles.

Central, meanwhile, unleashed 20 shots on the other side of the field. Freshman Nathan Troyanovich made a diving save in the 73rd minute and the Rancocas Valley covered the goal-line and cleared the ball away on a shot that got past Troyanovich.

Rancocas Valley will play in Wednesday's sectional semifinals against the winner of Saturday's match between No. 8 Southern and No. 1 Washington Township.

South Jersey Non-Public A

(7) St. John Vianney 8, (10) Donovan Catholic 0

Anthony Marano poured in a hat trick and Mason Boles chimed in with two goals and one assist as the Lancers coasted to a first-round win over the Griffins to earn a quarterfinal trip to play No. 2 St. Peter's Prep in the sectional quarterfinals on Tuesday.

Kyle DiMarco also scored a goal to go with two assists and Will Keegan and Shayan Katireal accounted for the other two St. John Vianney goals.

 

South Jersey Non-Public B

(6) Ranney 3, (11) Bishop Eustace 0

Indiana Raya, Jack Fallon and Colin Bradley each scored a goal and the Panthers shutout the Crusaders to advance to the sectional quarterfinals Tuesday at No. 3 St. Rose.

Dev Nayer, Saeed Torres and Alex Lennon accounted for the assists for Ranney, which lost to St. Rose, 1-0, when the two Shore Conference Class B Central rivals played at Ranney on Sept. 18.
