Class A North

No. 8 Howell 5, Freehold Boro 0

Junior Bryce Ocholla scored two goals and senior J.P. Candela contributed a goal and two assists to spark the Rebels (6-2, 3-2) to a win over the Colonials (1-8, 0-5), snapping a brief two-game slide.

Senior Nick Spisak also pitched in a goal and an assist, while sophomore Nick Turturro opened the scoring for Howell with a goal in the fourth minute.

Middletown South 2, Middletown North 1

Junior Shawn McCann and senior Alex Soto each scored in the first half and the Eagles (4-3-1, 3-1-1) closed out a win over the Lions (4-4, 2-3) -- their first victory over Middletown North since a memorable finish in 2019.

McCann ran onto a through-ball from junior Ray Anachino and finished it for a 1-0 Middletown South lead in the 14th minute. A foul 30 yards from the goal in the 19th set up Soto for a 30-yard direct kick that he buried into the upper 90, extending the Eagles lead to 2-0.

Middletown North cut its deficit in half in the 26th minute, when sophomore Ryan Barnao headed in a long throw-in by senior C.J. Crolius. The Lions nearly pulled even midway through the second half when Nick Dean clanged a shot off the right post.

 

Class A Central

No. 7 Holmdel 2, Wall 0

Seniors Max Woodward and Connor Capaci each scored a goal in the first half and the Hornets (7-1, 4-1-0) shut out the Crimson Knights (4-3-1, 3-1-0), with senior Ilan Golden picking up the clean sheet.

Raritan 5, Monmouth 3

Junior Andrew Badalamenti scored two goals and assisted two by senior Lupo Ryder to help lead the Rockets (4-4, 2-2) to a win over the Falcons (3-5-1, 1-4-0).

Ryder scored in the 30th off a Badalamenti feed and Badalamenti followed with a goal in the 37th to send the Rockets to the half with a 2-0 lead.

Monmouth fired back with three unanswered goals within the first eight minutes of the half. Junior Anthony Cano started the run with a goal and assisted a go-ahead goal by senior Mateo Casalinuovo. Will Taborda scored the equalizer off a pass from Tanner Simpson.

Senior Lucas Hutnik scored in the 49th minute to draw Raritan even and Badalamenti gave Raritan the lead in the 50th off a pass from Hutnik. Ryder capped the scoring with his second goal of the game.

No. 6 Rumson-Fair Haven 4, Red Bank Catholic 0

Senior Alec Pentikis threw in a hat trick and classmate Antonio Santos scored the other Rumson goal as the Bulldogs (5-2-1, 4-0-0) coasted to a win over the Caseys (0-8, 0-4).

 

Class A South

Toms River South 2, Jackson Memorial 1

Junior Kenny Caruso assisted a goal by sophomore Caden Langan, then scored one of his own off a pass from senior Jon Fitzgerald as the Indians (4-2, 4-1) bounced back from a two-game skid by slipping past the Jaguars (4-5-1, 2-3-0).

Junior Peyton Collimore scored the Jackson Memorial goal.

 

Class B North

No. 10 Colts Neck 5, Manasquan 4 (OT)

After senior Jairo Chira scored a hat trick in regulation, sophomore Kyle Moore scored the golden goal in the final minute of the first overtime, capping a wild win for the Cougars (5-1-1, 4-1-0) over the Warriors (4-4, 2-3).

Chira scored a go-ahead penalty kick in the 46th minute for his second goal of the game before adding an insurance goal in the 71st off a pass from sophomore Sam Gershon.

The insurance turned out to be crucial, as Manasquan scored twice in the final five minutes to send the game to extra time. Freshman Cruz Farkas converted a pass from senior Vin Hyland into a goal in the 76th and senior Drew Perkins headed in a corner kick in the 78th to tie it up once again.

With inside of a minute left in the first overtime, Chira slipped a pass through to Moore, who drew the goalkeeper out and finished from 12 yards out to complete the back-and-forth game.

Moore also opened the scoring off a pass from Nick Mavica and Chira made it 2-0 off a feed from classmate Jeff DeCarvalho.

Manasquan cut the 2-0 deficit in half just before the half, with senior Aidan Sugure volleying in a corner kick from classmate Matt Karolak in the 39th. A little more than a minute into the second half, Karolak scored off a pass from sophomore Christian Gonzalez to tied the game, 2-2.

Matawan 2, No. 3 Ocean 1

Niko Skeete and Aaron Kalish each scored a goal and the Huskies (3-3-1, 3-1-1) held on to knock off the Spartans (4-3-1, 3-2-0). Skeete scored in the 13th minute off a pass from Anders Nielson and Kalish made the score 2-0 in the 47th off a feed from Evan Arendt.

Junior Alexander Korolev scored in the 75th minute to cut the Ocean deficit in half.

Neptune 3, St. John Vianney 0

Junior Kervins Lafortune scored two goals and senior Jack Tinik added another to help spark the Scarlet Fliers (6-2, 3-2) to a win over the Lancers (2-6-2, 1-4-0).

No. 9 Long Branch 3, Red Bank 2 (OT)

Senior Jeremy Hernandez scored the golden goal in the third minute of overtime and the Green Wave (4-2-1, 3-1-1) pulled out an overtime win to deny the Bucs (0-6, 0-5) their first win of the season.

Junior Nick Davhi-Borges assisted goals by senior Anthony Vasquez and junior Chris Lopez in the first 20 minutes, giving Long Branch a 2-0 lead in the first half.

Red Bank pulled even with two goals in the second half, including an equalizer by senior Carlos Guerra.

 

Non-Conference

Shore 9, Thomas Edison Charter 0

Senior Nick DiNapoli posted a hat trick with two assists and the Blue Devils (4-5) handled Thomas Edison. Seniors Luca DePaolis, Danny Bonner, Frank Salimone and Connor Katz each scored their first career varsity goals in the win.
