MU B-Ball Report: 1/5/12

The Monmouth Hawks return home tonight in a must-win game against Mount St. Mary’s at 7pm. MU kicks off a season-long three-game homestand tonight against the Mount after its New Year’s Day game at UNC (pictured). As awesome as that experience was (and it was), it’s time for Monmouth to start getting some W’s as the league portion of the schedule is staring the Hawks in the face. The Mount comes into tonight’s game as 2-11 on the season and 0-2 in the NEC, so both teams are looking for their first league win of the season. The Hawks must build on the encouraging performances that Andrew Nicholes, Jesse Steele and Austin Tillotson had at UNC tonight and somehow find a way to get the win in what should be a close, low-scoring affair.
