Monmouth’s Isaiah Searight Commits to Fordham
Monmouth Regional rising senior Isaiah Searight, a versatile talent for the Falcons on both sides of the ball, verbally committed to Fordham University on Wednesday.
Searight played all over the field in Monmouth's spread offense during a 3-7 season for the Falcons in 2013. He led the team with 29 catches for 351 yards and a touchdown as a wide receiver, ran for 79 yards on 14 attempts and also stepped in at quarterback for injured starter Jimmy Green in a win over Holmdel. As a defensive back, he made 52 tackles, including 30 solo tackles, and also had a team-high eight pass break-ups along with an interception that sealed the win over Holmdel.
Searight is the fourth member of the Shore Conference Class of 2015 to commit to a Division I program and the first FCS commit. He joins FBS verbal commits Tanner Cowley (Virginia) of Manasquan, Jamie Gordinier (Miami) of Red Bank Catholic and Sam Madden (Wisconsin) of Barnegat.
