Monmouth Men’s Basketball Tips Off Season Friday Night

Hello Monmouth fans and welcome to another season of Hawks basketball!

This year is an exciting and challenging one as it will be MU’s first in the very competitive Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC). The Hawks also come in to this season with one of the youngest teams not only in program history, but in the nation. It’s an exciting time to see some tremendous student-athletes grow and develop in a very exciting conference.

This season starts Friday night against a Hofstra team that is in flux and only brings back five players from their team a season ago. They also are breaking in a new coach in former Niagara head man Joe Mihalich. Former Hawk Dion Nesmith graduated from MU and will be in uniform for the Pride on opening night.

Please join me and former Hawk Steve Bazaz on the radio call for the season’s first game on Friday night at 6:45pm on The Shore Sports Network. We are extremely excited and proud to broadcast Monmouth Basketball games again this season and myself, Steve and Matt Harmon (all MU grads) are looking forward to bringing you the action once again.
