Results from Monday's Shore Conference wrestling action.
Class A North
The Rebels (1-0, 1-0) recorded eight pins and won 11 of 14 bouts to open their season with a convincing win over the Colonials (0-1, 0-1) and claim their 72nd straight divisional victory. Kyle Slendorn, Peter Dee, Anthony Gagliano, Christian Murphy, Frank Leonardis, Ryan Marter, Eric Keosseian and Jake Nash each won by fall. Liam Tibbett won by fall for Freehold.
Class A South
Seniors Peyton Blauvelt and Joe Toci each improved to 4-0 as the Rams (1-0, 1-0) won 13 of 14 bouts to wipe out the Raiders (0-1, 0-1) in the Class A South opener for both teams.
Mike Spino and Matt McGowan each improved to 4-0 as the Jaguars (1-0, 1-0) opened their season by taking 11 of 14 bouts from the Indians (0-1, 0-1).
Class B Central
Joe Aria, Darius Gevas, Jack McCrae and Rob Squillari each won by fall to lead the Blue Devils (1-0, 1-0) past the Blue Bishops (0-1, 0-1).
Class B South
Pins by Nick Rivera 106 and Robert Shea at 113 in the final two bouts completed a rally by the Golden Eagles (1-0, 1-0) to defeat the Piners (0-2, 0-1). Three straight wins from Isaiah Francis, Jose Ramos and Marco Avila from 182 to 220 gave Lakewood a 30-19 lead with three bouts left. A forfeit at heavyweight made it 30-25 before Rivera gave Central the lead and Shea clinched it by winning the final bout.
The Panthers (1-0, 1-0) took nine of 14 bouts, including five straight pins from 120 through 145 pounds, to take down the Wildcats (0-1, 0-1).
Nondivisional
The Cougars (1-0) won the first nine bouts of the match with six straight pins from 126 to 160 pounds in a blowout victory over the Titans (0-1). Colts Neck junior Steven Barsky improved to 4-0 with a 27-second pin at 195 pounds.
